A true little paradise in the hills above Kaysersberg, in Lapoutroie. To escape the daily grind, the noise, the stress, whether as a couple or a family, this is our annual spring pilgrimage. Exceptional setting, lovely hikes, spacious and tastefully decorated rooms, a large outdoor terrace with sun loungers and views of the vegetable and herb garden, the orchards, and the beehives... A superb panoramic restaurant, perfect and warm welcome and service, refined cuisine featuring local and seasonal products. An exceptional breakfast with exceptional products! If you need fresh air and to be pampered, this is our annual getaway! Everything is perfect. See you soon!

A secluded and peaceful location. A very pleasant place to stop and enjoy a unique experience. Very comfortable rooms. A magnificent view. Very kind and attentive staff. And an excellent gourmet restaurant. In short, a truly wonderful experience.

Based on a recommendation, we ended up in this wonderfully peaceful spot and spent two beautiful days there. At check-in, Mathias kindly gave us an upgrade, allowing us to enjoy a magnificent view of the stunning landscape from our room. The five-course dinner was excellent, and the service was attentive yet unobtrusive. Colmar and other attractions are nearby. We highly recommend the hotel and restaurant and would love to return!

Easter lunch. This establishment is peaceful, the staff is incredibly attentive, and the cuisine is exceptionally rich and diverse. We try to come at least once a year. Come and you'll be captivated by the place and your taste buds will be delighted.

The hotel boasts a magnificent location overlooking the valley; we never tired of the breathtaking view from our panoramic room and the restaurant. The five-course gourmet dinner was a resounding success, with a truly exceptional chef who masterfully works with local produce, enhanced by exotic spices. The wine list features Alsatian wines from small, independent winemakers, available by the glass, which is a delightful way to sample several vintages. During our weekend stay, the young couple who run the hotel gave us a warm welcome, attentively answering our questions and fulfilling our wishes. We wholeheartedly recommend this high-quality hotel.

25/05/2026: My dear wife ordered unlimited fried carp (beer-battered fritters...).... Pure bliss for connoisseurs. Personally, I had a veal ribeye with morels 🤪. The desserts are homemade. We will definitely be back, as other dishes also caught my eye. See you soon for new adventures. To infinity and beyond 😁

Hotel Restaurant du Faude

07/06/2026: We received a very warm welcome, the meal was excellent and plentiful, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the room was clean. We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.
04/06/2026: We stayed here two years ago. The hotel room in the main building was okay, but otherwise nothing special. This time, however, we stayed in the significantly higher-quality annex in the only room with a great balcony terrace. The rooms next to it were mostly (completely) in the shade. We were looking forward to dinner, but since we had to wait over an hour (in addition to the already lengthy order taking) without being offered even a small piece of bread or anything similar, we were satisfied, but nothing more. Breakfast: The fried eggs were cold, and there was little choice, as the staff's attention wasn't exactly focused on replenishing the food. On the second morning, at 8:30 a.m., there weren't even the bare necessities left (coffee, bread) because the previous group had apparently already eaten everything. Since they had left some time ago, this wasn't a plausible excuse. Furthermore, they should know how many guests are present and have a corresponding supply on hand. The service was friendly, but not customer-oriented. For the price, we'll find different accommodation next time.
