While looking for a restaurant we came across Le Cathare by chance. We are from Tours and we loved it. A ventilated terrace and a warm welcome with excellent cuisine. A gazpacho spicy just enough. A meat grilled in the fireplace, eggplants too tasty And what's more, the plates are copious. A beautiful address that we recommend! Patrick and Florence

We ate extremely well! The menus were fresh, delicious and - the grilled food on the barbecue 🍖 in the restaurant - perfect. The prices: cheap. We are happy to recommend and will come back! Interesting surprise at the beginning of the menu. By the way: everything is homemade!

While waiting for an important person, I'm looking for a worthy restaurant... I hit a dead end, mystically attracted by the name of the restaurant. A polite, welcoming and warm man provides me with the map. We come back later, the kindness and professionalism are still there. A soup, cream of zucchini is offered to us. We taste respectfully. An excellent meal follows, from the starter to the homemade dessert, including the main course. Two E+P+D menus are offered, at 25 and 35 euros, or a la carte choice. From the service to the meal, everything was top notch. The chef, who went around the tables, even allowed us to identify the vegetable accompanying the tomato: tiger eggplant! A very good evening in your establishment! With the added bonus of a free dessert! THANK YOU for everything and good luck to the whole team

Un accueil aimable sans être empressé, une cuisine de qualité, un choix de vin raisonnable, que du bonheur pour cette première expérience ! Du coup, nous y sommes retournés le lendemain pour déjeuner , c'était toujours aussi bon. Et le spectacle est aussi dans la cheminée !

We visited here 8 years ago and were very happy to see the restaurant had survived the pandemic. This is the preeminent restaurant in Carcassonne so a reservation is a must. Steaks are dry aged and you can order in 100g increments extra. Dinner was done perfectly, wine was great, staff were exceptional!
