Did not disappoint!!
When Googling gluten free in Alpe d'Huez Smithy's Tavern is always at the top, and there is a reason for that.
There were plenty of options for veggies, gluten free diets, and those with coeliac, the staff are knowledgeable to cater for all; options include burgers and fajitas.
I had the Macho Nacho burger with salt n vinegar fries! The burger was so meaty and tasty, the bun was so good and soft! The fries -insanely good.
Staff were really lovely, friendly and attentive.
I would recommend booking, luckily we were able to get a table as a walk in when they first opened but it got busy quickly.

If your in Alp D’huez and don’t go here your missing out! Whether it’s Apres beers, good food or want to watch some sport it’s all here!!! Have some amazing nights here too dancing on tables till the early hours.

Everyone was so friendly, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was so much fun! We ended up at Smithy’s every night of our trip, whether for dinner or just drinks, and honestly couldn’t fault it. Can’t wait to go back!

What a fantastic place! Calm cool vibes for food- and great food, large portions and really tasty! Then as if my magic transforms into the place to be for a fab night out of dancing on tables, lovely drinks and banging tunes! Loved it can't wait to go back!

Just finished a holiday in a large group where it was often difficult to find a restaurant or bar to accommodate, Smithy’s was our meeting spot for the week with a great choice of beers and cocktails, their food was also great and we ended up eating here 3 out of 6 evenings, the live band one of the evenings was also a great touch. Would highly recommend for a spot to eat, drink and watch sport.

Great bar, really nice place, great service, excellent food. If you need to eat here, either book or get your name down as soon as you arrive - can get busy.

Great food, and lovely staff who were simultaneously friendly and superbly professional.
We were seated very quickly despite having no booking. Kids were very well catered for, and they loved everything.

Really enjoyable evening. Good pub atmosphere, food was fantastic. We left as it was getting a bit lively (around 10pm). I’d have happily stayed longer but was constrained by a sense of responsibility. 10/10 if I could give it. Have fun

Maybe mostly for the younger crowd (said by someone who is 73), but there is a great atmosphere and the food is top notch and dogs are welcome.
Definitely recommended 😃🇩🇰⛷️🇬🇧⛅️🇨🇵
