What a spot... when you're in Chinaillon, a break is a must. A lunch break... a relaxing moment with a hot drink... every moment of the day justifies lingering here.

Disappointed with the restaurant, very little choice. The dishes are very expensive. €7 for a portion of fries and they don't even bother to write it on the menu. The Spritz is just Perrier with orange juice for €11, which is outrageous. Luckily the waitress was nice.

Mountain restaurant with a great view. The tartiflette portion was a bit small compared to other places. The daily special (blanquette) was very good and generous, unlike the tartiflette. I didn't take a picture of our meals, but I did take a picture of another tray while waiting for my coffee 😅

14/03/2026: As for the waitress, she was very friendly and accommodating. Regarding the set menus, I don't recommend the salads; they're very expensive for what they contain. The Bornandine salad has a lot of salad, a little ham, and four fritters (like dauphine potatoes) with Reblochon cheese. It's very dry and therefore heavy. I couldn't finish it. It's definitely not worth 21 euros.
16/02/2026: The value for money isn't great; the €21 salad meal isn't particularly generous. Otherwise, the service and atmosphere are perfectly acceptable.
