The Green Man sur Besancon

A very warm welcome; it's truly a pleasant place to be in this restaurant. All the dishes are homemade. One of the best places I ate during my stay in Besançon. Thank you!

Friendly and quick service, it's a shame they were out of ground beef, but the veggie burger was delicious. I recommend it.

The background music was very pleasant. I loved the harmony between the wooden floor and tables, which created a warm atmosphere. The chairs were comfortable and spacious; I didn't feel cramped at all. The food was good and reasonably priced. I recommend it!

We stumbled upon this place by chance and were immediately warmly welcomed. We were offered a table for two and seated without delay. Our only slight complaint was that the tables were quite close together, and our neighbor, who was a bit noisy, seemed to think he had the place to himself. However, the owner is in no way responsible for this; the authentic and welcoming atmosphere delighted us. We ordered the daily special. It was beautifully presented, delicious, and generously portioned, offering excellent value for money. The beer and desserts were also good. We're so glad we ventured in. The owner and his team are incredibly attentive and genuinely kind. Well done! We highly recommend this establishment and will be returning next week.

A real gem! The welcome is friendly and attentive, the meal excellent and the atmosphere so pleasant that you feel right at home (cf. Jules Renard 😉) An authentic place where you spend very good times.
