A very good specialty restaurant. An exceptional waiter who explained the dishes and gave us advice. All in a lovely atmosphere.

We were looking for a traditional Corsican restaurant and we found it based on its references and what a surprise, typical Corsican dishes, A DELIGHT, in a warm atmosphere created by the owner, between Corsican songs and explanations of his exceptional dishes from his Island of Beauty.

U Paisanu (The Farmer) – Authentic Corsican cuisine just like in the old days. A wonderfully rustic and nostalgic restaurant! The cuisine offers genuine Corsican tradition – exactly as I experienced it as a child on the island in 1981. The menu is small but exquisite: there are seemingly only four appetizers, main courses, and desserts. The wines are also excellent, and the eau-de-vie is an absolute must! What's special: Chef Francois Filippini produces all the ingredients himself. His small shop is on the ground floor, and the tiny restaurant is directly above it. The entrance is somewhat hidden to the left, behind the cash register. Reservations are essential, as the number of tables is very limited!

A small, typical restaurant we discovered by chance, serving very good, hearty homemade dishes and very pleasant service. We had a great time.

One evening we stumbled upon this little restaurant: it was an exceptional experience and, fortunately, it wasn't a tourist trap. The place is small and has only a few tables, so reservations are recommended. The menu is limited but consists exclusively of local dishes, which the welcoming owner explained to us in perfect Italian. We ate migliaccioli, fegatellu, and ghjaladicciu; everything was excellent!

A slightly different kind of restaurant. A hidden staircase leads to the small room above the shop. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The food is a bit different from the tourist traps at the harbor. It's not the ideal place for families with children, as there's neither a children's menu nor a high chair. But for adults, it's a highly recommended experience.
