Xoko Ona, Chez Pantxo sur Ascain

After getting caught in a storm on La Rhune, we booked a table at this charming little restaurant in the heart of Ascain. What a wonderful discovery! Everything was delicious, incredible, and homemade. We'll be back on our next trip to the Basque Country!

A lovely little local restaurant. It has a bar area, a restaurant area, and a small terrace. Lots of homemade dishes, delicious and very generous portions. Excellent value for money. The waiter and the cook are very friendly.

Arriving on a beautiful March day, I was charmed from start to finish! The young man who looked after us was lovely, responsive, and helpful (plus, the music was great! ☺️). The restaurant is housed in a beautiful building dating back to 1680. We sat on the terrace and chose the set menu of the week (starter, main course, and dessert) for €17, and believe me, we weren't disappointed! The portions were generous, the ingredients were excellent, and the chef clearly puts a lot of love into his cooking was outstanding! A truly delightful experience! I'll definitely be back!
