09/08/2026: The old inn is no more!… The change of ownership has destroyed what made this place so charming. No, preserving the setting isn't enough! You need a passion for cultivating local produce with well-prepared traditional dishes. The garbure (a hearty vegetable and meat stew) is more like onion soup. The meat isn't seared properly and is undercooked, even though it's cooked over a wood fire… the fire isn't burning hot enough in every sense of the word… The suckling pig has lost its flavor. The kidneys and sweetbreads are gone… And the same goes for the lavish desserts of yesteryear. In short: a huge disappointment that must have already spread, since in the middle of summer the chairs are already empty and you can book at the last minute, whereas before you had to book several weeks in advance. P.S.: The €25 credit card imprint per person for the reservation is undoubtedly designed to ensure that those unaware the iconic owners are no longer with us leave as soon as we arrive! Lovers of true, old-fashioned tradition: look elsewhere

09/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! We had a fantastic time in this charming and authentic place. The welcome was very warm, the atmosphere friendly, and the food truly delicious. The dishes were generous and flavorful, made with excellent ingredients. You can immediately feel the passion and attention to detail. The setting is lovely, with a traditional inn atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and fully enjoy the moment. We wholeheartedly recommend this place, both for the quality of the food and for the warm welcome and ambiance. We will definitely be back! 24/06/2026: Excellent Cantonese rice, the service is very pleasant, just like the food. Lots of choices on the menu. I highly recommend it!

22/08/2026: We received an unexpected call at 8:48 pm (without much hope), and the pleasant-voiced waitress invited us in… and when we arrived, a table for two was set and waiting for us! The service was impeccable, and all the staff greeted us with a smile. The food was excellent (we ordered meat). This is an address to remember and definitely not to miss if you're passing through Saint-Girons.

18/08/2026: Very nice place with great food and super friendly service! The perfect spot to escape the Pyrenees heat, relax, and chill with something delicious. 🌞🍴 A lovely little oasis where the only thing hotter than the weather is the food! 😄 One point though it’s not very clearly indicated on Google maps. This needs to be updated.

02/08/2026: Today, while eating with my parents, I went inside to ask for the restroom while the waiter took our order. The owner didn't even greet me and coldly told me there were no restrooms, so I had to go home to use the toilet. He didn't even apologize himself; it was his employee who came to apologize. So I didn't order anything and left, leaving my parents alone for a family meal. Personally, he won't be seeing me there again. Even if it's reserved for customers, even though I was a customer, there are ways to speak to them.

14/06/2026: Excellent pizza, both Baltic and Landes-style, as well as a Basque aperitif. The passionate owner will happily chat with you if you invite him over. A peaceful spot.

14/02/2026: I know this establishment very well and I've enjoyed it until the day the beef satay I was served was truly off-flavored; it smelled incredibly strong, but they served it to me anyway. After I pointed this out to the owner, who immediately reprimanded his sister in the kitchen, he returned looking embarrassed and apologizing. The problem is, he shouldn't have served me that dish. Since then, I only go there as a last resort. Apart from that incident, the food served is good! I've recently started going back, and tonight (March 3, 2022) I wasn't disappointed. I think the kitchen has made some adjustments, and as a result, I'm going back regularly. Today, January 14, 2023, we went to this establishment, and frankly, we didn't regret it. We had a wonderful meal: I had my Vietnamese salad and beef satay, and my wife had her pho with coconut pearls. The atmosphere was good, it was busy, and there were lots of takeout orders. In short, I'll be back. PLEASE NOTE: The restaurant will be closed for the entire month of February 2023 and will not reopen until March 1st, 2023. Today, February 14th, 2026, this restaurant is permanently closed due to retirement. An Indian restaurant is expected to replace it. Opening date unknown.

11/11/2025: Always a very warm welcome at Saigon City. The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it.

26/08/2026: The raw vegetables were not very crunchy, and the duck confit was very tough.

20/08/2026: The rosé arrives, it's warm, and they don't have any ice (??). So we send it back and order white wine. Then the "rare" ribeye arrives, it's cooked through or almost, and the waitress spills the juices on my mother's trousers (who says nothing). When I go into the dining room, there's absolutely no one there. So I go to the kitchen and speak loudly to see if anyone is there. The young owner comes out, tells me she's going to remake the ribeye, and this time it's served to me... rare (I say nothing more). We started eating, and then... It was insane: a young man (the owner?) came out and literally charged at me, yelling as loud as he could while physically intimidating me. He claimed I'd insulted the girls (completely untrue), that he'd seen it on the security camera, and threatened me: "Get out of here, clear off or things are going to get very bad" (making a fist) and "Take your mother with you" (my mother is 80 years old, she didn't understand either). I couldn't move at that moment because I really thought he was going to hit me when I stood up. In fact, a customer told him not to, and we left. It was 1 p.m., and the twenty or so people on the two terraces witnessed the assault. A report was filed with the police that afternoon.
