15/11/2025: A very nice truck stop in the heart of the village of Chaource. We booked in advance.

24/11/2025: All lies. Photos are fake. No sauna. No hot tub. Don't stay here. We reserved this hotel specifically because it was advertised to have a hot tub and sauna. On checking in we were charged twice. After this we were told there is no sauna, steam room or hot tub, the pool is at a different hotel, 5 km away, and there is an additional 50 Euro fee to use the sauna, which the owner had just told us does not exist. After a battle we got one of the duplicate charges returned. This place is not a good place. There is no honesty in advertising and nothing special here. Dingy small rooms, separate tiny single beds, no views, there is nothing really of any interest or value here.

09/11/2025: Despite a minor issue with the online reservation due to the establishment being closed for holidays, the owner quickly found a solution. It's generally recommended to book by phone. A very warm welcome awaits you at this family-run business, now in its fifth generation; you can feel the dedication of every staff member. The restaurant is fantastic, with a super friendly waitress who provided helpful explanations about the local area and knew her dishes and wines well. The crispy andouillette sausage was excellent, featuring local products. A nice bonus is the gas station right across the street.
