L'Auberge D'Chez Eux

10/07/2025: Highly recommend and will visit again. We visited for a late lunch on a beautiful sunny afternoon. The food was outstanding, as well as the service. Our server Ryan was attentive, polite and prompt. We ordered a tomato salad and escargot for starters, steak and fish of the day as main dishes and the pear tart for dessert.
06/07/2025: Those sensitive to air conditioning may want to mention this early on. At our request, it was switched on and off several times.
The restaurant wasn't bad overall; the rack of lamb could have been better (Hotel Bebber in Aachen), the steak was good, the pepper sauce a bit thin but spicy. The fried frog legs must have been frozen; they tasted OK, but a bit too much fat/oil. The recommended tomato salad—admittedly not small—was very good, but at €26, it was the most expensive we've ever eaten. The Tronquoy Lanlande 2012 is highly recommended.

04/09/2024: The customer service at the tax refund desk is awful! They require your physical passport in order to issue a refund form. Of course this is only because they don’t want to enter the passport information physically. Lazy and stupid! They told me it’s the French law but it is not!! If you expect to get a tax refund avoid this place as there are alternatives

03/12/2025: I was craving a Guinness and I found one. Made my day. Good service. Great atmosphere. Dan was a great bartender.
03/12/2025: The IPA on draught was dirt. Also, the racist Irish "jokes" on the walls were fairly shocking. Honestly, the only Irish thing about this place was my wife and myself when we were there. We left after one drink.
Response to the pub:
Not a Galway man, but Irish. So that's good of you to go stalking through my account. Also, I never said the pub itself was racist, merely it's attempt at humor. If those remarks were written by "Irish" people, then they are the exact sort of "Irish" the majority of us try to avoid... When are these jokes from, the 1940s?!? Anyone with half a brain could see the serious lack of humor in them.

27/01/2026: Nice place for a drink. Very good cocktails. Excellent and very accommodating waiter: a child in our group spilled their Viennese hot chocolate and the waiter very kindly came over to offer them another one!

16/11/2025: Doina is a lovely spot in Paris with delicious, well-prepared dishes. The atmosphere is warm, and Candide made the experience even better with his kind, attentive service. A great place to enjoy ameal.
09/11/2025: So we came to visit and we clearly fell into a trap. Out of six of us, two got sick, including one person who vomited all night and is bedridden, thus ending our vacation... The hygiene was absolutely appalling and sickening. The service was beyond deplorable, and they clearly didn't speak French. We even threw away the takeaway desserts because of the smell coming from the crepes. The health department, please do an inspection...

27/11/2024: It was a disappointing experience despite the nice view of the Eiffel Tower, earning it 2 stars. Service was poor—one waiter spilled soup on a guest with no offer to help, and a waitress rudely dropped off dishes without explanation. The limited prix fixe menu included octopus or pigeon, with fish and veal only offered after asking. The veal was overcooked, and the replacement dish still had issues. Management was unhelpful, promising a discount but not applying it, while dismissing complaints. Overall, this restaurant felt like a tourist trap with rude staff, subpar food, and no accountability. Avoid wasting your time or money.

Soit on souhaite un beau lieu avec un diner sous une véranda avec vue sur la tour Eiffel (qui clignote toutes les heures) avec un menu à un certain prix qui se veux bistronomique et alors c'est un bon endroit. Soit on cherche une belle cuisine avec un rapport qualité-prix satisfaisant et alors ce n'est pas parfait (entrée vegan quelconque, viande bien cuite avec des accompagnements standards, dessert en dessous de la norme). Ceci explique donc les différences d'appréciation. Vins satisfaisants. Par ailleurs, service aimable et rapide.

06/09/2024: We booked classic room for a couple! But be aware that this is a room where you only can have a carry on luggage or a backpack. We came from USA and planned to travel europe for a little over 2 weeks (18days total) we carried a large luggage and 1 carry ons. We cant even open one even our carry on😅 but the room is clean. Location is the best. The heart of paris it is. Service is the best — staff our almost perfect! I had a problem on the first day when our room was missed to be cleaned, we didnt put any “do not disturb” sign at all but it was strange that we didnt get our room cleaned. But the staff made it up for us. Which was nice! The last day of stay was kind of stressful because a couple is fighting and yelling on top of their lungs at 3am! So note also that walls are thin enough to hear everything. But overall will recommend!!
30/08/2024: The rooms are very very small, however this is my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at, and I've been at many a 5 star hotel. 10/10. Compact, cute, and walkable to everything you want to do in Paris.

10/09/2024: Pleasant welcome and rather quick service. I allowed myself to make a simple reflection on the rather sparse quantity of fries served with my croque-madame which still sold for 17.50 euros.
The waitress replied that I just had to recommend a plate in a very casual tone.
The food is ok but I expected better especially after seeing the photos on the site.
This is disappointing because the setting is really pleasant.

13/05/2025: Very unpleasant salesmen and saleswomen, very little choice because of the small quantity even though we are on a very large campus, rooms and tables that are not clean... very bad cafeteria, surely the worst I have seen
