09/01/2026: Avoid this health insurance company at all costs! My girlfriend signed up for a cheap policy (on December 29, 2025), but ultimately received almost no reimbursement, if any at all. When she sent a cancellation request by registered mail (on January 3, 2026) within the allotted timeframe, it was marked as received (on January 5, 2026), but she received no confirmation of receipt from the company. When we contact them by email, it's extremely difficult to reach them, and we still haven't received a response. Even worse, when we call, they tell you all the advisors are busy and then hang up on you.
08/01/2026: I still haven't received my 2026 card.

14/10/2025: Daniël is a very friendly guy who came from Armenië.
I was in the neighborhood with my Citroën DS to look at the place of the attack at the Gaullein 1963.
As we both are car lovers it clicked right away.
I had a very nice meal and a very good espresso at Chicken-Up
I gave him a miniature DS for his fabulous restaurant and he gave me a little Mehari back!
When i am in Paris again with my family we absolutily will visit Daniël!
I made a roadtrip and the stop at Daniël was one of the heights of it!

There's no better or more generous couscous around here than at this restaurant!
The atmosphere, history, and service are all there; there's nothing more authentic, and it's also a family business, which is a joy to see.
The grain is superbly prepared, the meats are tenderly cooked, everything is made with love, and that makes all the difference.

I highly recommend Catherine's massages, which were divine after an hour in the hammam.
The brunch was generous, at least for us.

My experience at this establishment was unforgettable...and not in a good way ❌
⚠️ If you're looking for a Christmas gift for a loved one...read my review first!
1️⃣ Before arriving
First contact by phone, the tone is set.
The voucher was valid until December 31st, making it impossible to book for January 3rd...that is, 3 days after the expiry date.
Rules are rules (even if one might expect a little flexibility and empathy from this kind of establishment...)
I book.
2️⃣ Arrival
Upon arrival, the tone is confirmed: say goodbye to relaxation.
I sensed a directive tone (am I here to relax?), which struck me as slightly haughty and patronizing (maybe just an off day, we're all human! Let's stay positive to enjoy the rest of this experience).
3️⃣ The Facilities
Old-fashioned wooden doors that don't close, broken toilets, a temperature of around 20°C in the relaxation area, supposedly a power outage... well, it continues... the barge seemed poorly maintained, perhaps I came on a bad day (Sunday)?... But hey, maybe it's still possible to have a good time, let's hope so 🤞🏻!
4️⃣ Hammam... A real heatwave 🔥, that's for sure! Be careful not to step on the scalding jets, which aren't protected ⚠️
How clumsy of me... the jet wasn't quite at the far end as the manager indicated, but a bit more in the middle, so when I tried to put my flip-flop back on... ouch! A very bad burn (later confirmed by my doctor).
30 minutes of cold water and still in so much pain.
5️⃣ Shaking, on the verge of fainting, thank goodness the manager was there: she called the fire department and promised to reschedule my relaxation time, apologizing profusely...
🥁 And no!
- A "sorry, but there were signs"
- A 3-minute break, a glass of water and a compress, then
- Are you ready for your massage?
Um...is this a joke?
No compensation whatsoever, and I thought it would have been possible to reschedule given the burn and my condition...how naive I am.
So you can imagine the experience I had. I felt a lack of empathy in how the situation was handled.
This kind of establishment doesn't seem conducive to relaxation.
🍞 Bonus: the brunch consists of bottled orange juice (like the kind you get at Carrefour), tea, a croissant, a piece of cheese with scrambled eggs, a small spring roll and a small samosa, and a fruit salad.
You can make up your own mind about it.
For the sake of transparency: I never give reviews behind the establishment's back.
I always prefer to discuss things with those directly involved first.
The situation was ignored.
"Management can't do anything."
"We can't put any protection on the nozzles, they would overheat..."
So I'm sharing my experience here.

P.S.: I don't understand people talking about 40cl pints of beer. Either they're in the wrong place, or it's just plain meanness. The last review was hilarious...
22/02/2026: Order a pint of beer, and you'll get a maximum of 40cl, because the owner has decided to rip off his customers. Yes, you read that right, the rip-off is deliberate. I confronted the waiter who tested it, and he admitted to me that the pint glass didn't hold 50cl, far from it, and that the matter would be reported to the owner. I went back a month later, and guess what? Nothing had changed. Yes, ripping off his customers for a little extra profit was this manager's choice. What a shame! When you own a neighborhood establishment like this, you have a duty to respect your customers and not steal from them like this! If you continue to go there, at least now you'll be fully aware of the situation. Shame on you, and know that you've been reported to the DGCCRF (French Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control), at least that might get you to take action. A tax audit and a fine on thousands of "pints" sold might be more convincing than professional and personal ethics, which is very sad.

25/10/2025: Too bad the restaurant is permanently closed.
We were regulars at this place, and for several months now, it's been closed with a sign saying it's "annual closure"...
A waste of time every time we go there.👎

17/02/2026: The bowl was almost empty, while the customer after me had a full one, and the one before that too. When I made the mistake of saying the portion was ridiculously small, a kind cashier told me, "Well, that's just the quantity, isn't it?" I used to go there often... never again...
