20/01/2025: The staff was super friendly and willing even though they only speak French. The problem is that the cake dough is completely rubbery and soft, not at all crunchy as it should be. The cheese board comes mostly with fetas, something unthinkable in a country like France. Could improve a lot

04/09/2024: I simply asked that my coffee be made in the filter-port espresso machine (mc coffee side) and not in the automatic machine (as a coffee lover I can feel the difference) and I had deliberately done so. order from the mc café tab at the terminal.
Although it was early in the morning and there weren't too many people, the employee was really not happy and made it clear to me, he didn't respond to my thanks at the end.
01/09/2024: The service was very very long. The food was not really good, we took a cbo to taste, the result was that the chicken was harder than a stone and the same for the mc smart wrap.. the fries were cold.

06/07/2024: The bar is dark but beautifully designed. The music is great! The cocktails too. If possible, sit at the bar. The cocktails are not "cheap" but the prices are appropriate for the quality and are unusual.

Personnel souriant, la serveuse devait être une étudiante car le service était hésitant mais de bonne volonté :)
Ma salade du moment était copieuse et très bonne
Les raviolis au bœuf et truffe, excellent!
Je recommande vraiment :)
17/08/2024: Pluie battante soudaine sur la terrasse. Tout le personnel se mobilise, grande solidarité entre les serveurs, tout les clients sont recasés. Ici on sent une bonne équipe bien dirigée et soudée. rare dans ce métier. En plus l'assiette est excellente. Pizza comme en italie, la pâte est reposée et cuite a la perfection. Personnellement je repasse lors de mon prochain voyage.

13/09/2024: Leggo commenti discordanti, io posso solo dire che il croque-monsieur che abbiamo preso era veramente buono, come il cappuccino e che è stata piacevole la colazione seduti sulla grand rue. Per questo motivo, a parte la coda quasi perenne la mattina per ordinare, posso solo consigliarlo e parlarne bene.

18/12/2024: We stumbled on this place because the restaurant we had intended was « complet ». The food was d’alsacien and really tasty and filling. The front house is run by x2 gentlemen who look like they’ve been doing it for years and continues the tradition which seems nice in the current era. You’ll need some French or German to communicate better in this resto. For the food, we’d comeback.
15/12/2024: A cold and unpleasant welcome.
The tartes flambées were good but I think the managers prefer peace and quiet and don't like the bustle of the Christmas market period.

29/08/2024: The Philibar in Strasbourg is a real gem! The warm atmosphere, the varied choice of beers, and the welcoming staff make it an unmissable place. The board games available add a unique and friendly touch to the experience. A perfect place to relax with friends or as a couple. I highly recommend!

01/11/2024: I am disappointed with this bar apart from the fact that we waited 15 minutes for our order to be taken and that we waited 10 minutes to receive it (a diabolo and a beer) one of the waitresses spilled the lemonade on the jacket from my girlfriend and didn't even apologize.

06/12/2024: I have come to the public house several times to have a drink with friends but this was the first time I came there to eat lunch. A very good experience, the service was fast, the meat of the day was very good and the rare cooking was perfect for a very reasonable price.
The highlight in my eyes was the gourmet coffee which lives up to its name very well! The desserts were very good and plentiful, I recommend.

21/09/2024: Having been a regular at this bar for around ten years, the cuisine has diminished a little compared to what I have experienced but remains good, affordable bistro cuisine. The atmosphere is always excellent and the team warm. An ideal place for a break or evening in the city, a stone's throw from the tram.

03/07/2025: A terrace that's a victim of its own success and its location in the heart of the tourist city. Always full (a testament to its quality), you don't have to wait long for a table to become available. The drinks menu is varied, and the appetizer platter is just right in terms of quantity but superior in terms of quality. A great place to stop for a break during your city tour.
20/06/2025: Beautifully situated in the shade under the trees. The tarte flambée is delicious and reasonably priced.
