02/07/2026: I ordered an excellent cheese pide to go today, and it was served very quickly (less than 10 minutes, which was a huge help as I was in a hurry). The bread was perfect, the topping of raw vegetables and cheese was delicious, and the portion was more than generous (I couldn't finish it all in one sitting!). The staff were very friendly too. I'm very satisfied; thank you for saving my lunch break :)

01/07/2026: In short, I ate a kebab. The meat (chicken?) was dry and rubbery. However, the vegetables were fresh. The chef tried to be friendly, but he brought me a scalding hot glass to pour my cold drink into 😅. The terrace is nice, but unfortunately, I won't be eating there again.

27/07/2026: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Very bad experience. We came on Friday evening, a group of five, to celebrate my birthday, and the evening was completely ruined by a bill that I find unacceptable. We ordered a mixed platter for €18, three portions of paprika fries with an extra sauce for €0.50, sweet chicken for €9, and squid for €10. When the bill arrived, we were shocked: €158. Looking at the receipt, we discovered that €29 had been charged for an all-you-can-eat option for each person, even though the waiter never told us we were ordering this option, and we never asked for it. At no point was it explained to us that these dishes automatically included an all-you-can-eat option or that it was mandatory. The result: a bill of €158 for an order that should have cost around €60. Such a lack of transparency is unacceptable. The very least they could have done was clearly inform us before we ordered so we could make an informed choice. I find this practice very disappointing and dishonest. We left feeling cheated, which is particularly unfortunate on the evening of a birthday. I will not return and I do not recommend this establishment until communication with customers is clearer.

13/07/2026: We discovered this establishment with anticipation, but our experience was somewhat mixed. --- 🍷 The service could be improved. Regarding the wine, the waitress didn't offer convincing recommendations. It's perfectly understandable not to be knowledgeable, but in this case, it would be better to ask a colleague for advice rather than offering uncertain suggestions. We also had a small error in our order that unfortunately wasn't corrected. 🔉The atmosphere changes with the arrival of a DJ around 8 pm. While some might appreciate the more festive atmosphere, we found the volume a bit too loud for comfortable conversation at our table. 🌮 As for the food, the tapas are good, simple, and well-prepared, without being particularly memorable. 🌳 Finally, we found it a shame that the air conditioning was running even with the windows open. - - - In the end, the establishment has potential, but several aspects could be improved to make the experience more enjoyable. In the meantime, we still feel a touch of nostalgia for the old XX bar.

01/07/2026: Upon arrival, I was greeted by overflowing trash cans (both inside and out), a dirty floor, and half the self-service kiosks out of order. My order was simple: a meal deal, a burger, and some nuggets. A server brought me my tray. I noticed the ice was missing and asked for some. My drink was brought back. I tried a nugget; the topping was so dry it crumbled. I tried a sauce to try and fix it, but they hadn't given me any, so I got up to look for them. I tried a fry: they were cold/lukewarm and clearly had been left in the colander/drip tray for quite some time. I struggled to finish my meal. The entire McDonald's model needs a complete overhaul. The new organization means less time for the dining area, and this is noticeable in almost every McDonald's. Furthermore, do the managers still have enough time for quality control, or are they adequately trained to manage the restaurants? Having worked in fast food for your competitors, nothing I saw yesterday would have been acceptable… And back then, 20 euros was enough to get a decent meal with respectable service. In any case, McDonald's France has serious problems. Just go to Kehl, or Switzerland, to see for yourself: it's a completely different story… The ever-increasing prices for lower or equivalent quality are becoming harder to swallow. Sacrificing the customer for the benefit of the shareholder is rarely a good thing.

30/06/2026: Absolutely atrocious experience!! This is the third time I've come to this restaurant while my daughter is hospitalized at Hautepierre, and it's the second time my order hasn't been complete. Today I ordered a Happy Meal with a toy. When I returned to the hospital room after a 40-minute walk (round trip), the toy was missing. Huge disappointment for my daughter 😔 I called the restaurant to express my dissatisfaction, and the staff member I explained the situation to told me to come back immediately, even though I repeatedly told him that I only come when my child is hospitalized and therefore hoped not to have to return. The last compensation offered: come back for a free dessert. This kind of attitude, devoid of any empathy, is disgusting. One last thing: how is it that every time takeout orders are incomplete, one or more items are missing, but NEVER an extra item?? Could this have been unintentionally deliberate…?

To be perfectly clear: my one and only interaction before being kicked out was to politely ask your waitress, "What kind of night is this?" A perfectly normal question when arriving from Belgium for your first night. I was neither drunk, nor pushy, nor provocative. It was at that precise moment that your bartender in the black cap intervened abruptly and told me to "get lost." Is asking about a bar's theme music grounds for expulsion in your establishment? Your defense doesn't hold up to the facts.

16/08/2026: WARNING, especially if you're a foreigner or just passing through. On my first night in Strasbourg, I stumbled upon this awful bar. The waiter in the black cap was disrespectful and told me to get lost even though I wasn't doing anything at all, just sitting in my corner. Outrageous and xenophobic behavior? In any case, the welcome was appalling. I absolutely do not recommend it; this place should be crossed off the map." You're talking about provocation? I just arrived, sat down quietly, and asked the waitress, "What's the atmosphere like here?"—a simple tourist question. No insults, no alcohol, no inappropriate behavior. The bartender in the black cap overreacted for absolutely nothing. Instead of making me out to be a troublemaker, you should question your employee's behavior. "You know very well that I did nothing wrong." To be precise: I had just arrived from Belgium, was sitting quietly in my corner, and was trying to decipher your menu (which, by the way, is really quite illegible). I didn't have time to order anything. I simply asked your waitress politely, "What's the atmosphere like here?"—a basic question for a tourist. It was at that precise moment that your bartender in the black cap appeared and ordered me to "get out." Reading a menu and asking about the atmosphere—is that your definition of provocation? Stop twisting the facts.

09/07/2026: A small pizzeria on a very quiet street near the Civil Hospital. It has a small outdoor terrace on the sidewalk and an indoor dining area. The two servers are friendly. They offer a paper menu or a QR code on the table that you can scan. Prices are reasonable, especially for drinks. They have a bit of everything: pasta, meat, but mostly pizzas. I opted for the Catalana. It was good, generously topped, and nicely spiced. My only slight complaint is the service; after I finished my pizza, no one came to ask if I wanted anything else. A shame.

03/07/2026: okay so it's not great and the staff is sometimes rude. but it's cheap and i love the vibe. you can come during the day to work and have a coffee, evening for dinner, late at night for drinks. i miss this place so much

11/06/2026: I remember a waiter who took it upon himself to correct me for using "flammekueche" and not "tarte flambée." I didn't appreciate it at all. I can use whatever word I want; he has no right to tell me that no, you say "tarte flambée" or you're a tourist. Respect is fundamental in a profession like this. You don't have more power than the customers just because you're at work, and you're certainly not my mother, or whatever role you imagine you have. In short, there are limits to how close you can be. I won't be back.

29/07/2026: Bad service. Difficult to order from the order board. Very dirty toilets. Ladies' toilet has no seat and no door.

27/07/2026: We arrived at McDonald's at 1 p.m., and it was very crowded. The sign indicated that we could pay with ANCV Connect checks, but after ordering, the manager, in a curt and indifferent tone, told us they didn't accept them despite the ANCV sign. The dining area wasn't clean; the tables were greasy and dirty, like the rest of the place. I do not recommend this McDonald's.

16/03/2026: Excellent experience. We went a week ago and both the service and the food were great! I recommend it!

15/10/2025: You can play pétanque. If it's still available, on Mondays there's a buy-one-get-one-free burger, which might be a good idea for students. However, it's quite busy, so orders take a while to arrive.

04/08/2026: Café Berlin boasts the best beer (pilsner, I think) in Strasbourg. Its location at the far end of Place d'Austerlitz – pedestrianized and car-free – combined with the friendliness of its incredibly welcoming and admirable staff and its overall cheerful atmosphere, makes it one of Strasbourg's top-rated bars/terraces/cafés! It offers a touch of holiday spirit, perfect for relaxation and intellectual (or otherwise) conversation, all year round! Excellent tarte flambée, happy hour from 6 pm – what more could you ask for from this unique place, where you feel safe and valued! Hats off to the owner and his team! You'll feel right at home there! Cheers!

14/07/2026: My friends and I were asked to leave the terrace as soon as we received our drinks, under the pretext that we weren't ordering enough, even though we had ordered two Fuze Teas. The terrace was half empty, so there was no shortage of space. We consumed our drinks like any other customer and find this attitude completely outrageous. We felt unwelcome and will not be returning. I do not recommend this establishment.

28/07/2026: Been there twice and the chicken was fine, burger ok, but both times the fries were mediocre, undercooked I think, a far cry from the competition less than a km away. Also the replies to some of the negative reviews are a yikes.

14/07/2026: If you don't wish to receive any customers after 10 p.m., please close the door. Don't let your discomfort show. Tonight, the guy cooked my 25 chicken wings in a deep fryer. They really smelled raw.
