19/09/2026: Thanks to Cathy and Philippe for the tip. At Le Rouget, you're welcomed with a smile and a big smile, the ingredients are fresh, and the food is delicious (the fish soup is amazing, the bull entrecote with homemade fries is a real treat, and the salted butter tiramisu is divine). In short, if you want to eat well at a great place run by wonderful people, go to Le Rouget!

12/09/2026: Lukewarm kebab, soggy falafels, and mediocre desserts. The restaurant could use a makeover, and the kitchen needs a thorough cleaning. It's a shame, because the concept was really appealing.
21/08/2026: Super easy and healthy food bowls. The portions are „big“. We had halloumi bowl and a vegan bowl and they were super delicious. Maybe a little bit more salt would have been nice but only if i have to find anything. The seating option is big inside unfortunately outside it is limited. We were able to finde something outside.

30/08/2026: This was our second visit (our first was 8 years ago). It's still just as enjoyable. We went on a 2-hour horseback ride through the entire estate, while the others rode ponies and took a ride on the little train around the grounds. It's an authentic place steeped in family history. The welcome is warm. I highly recommend a visit, and especially the horseback ride, which is nothing like the ones offered by roadside rental companies.
28/08/2026: Thank you for this exceptional moment in nature. Not being a fan of bullfighting, your explanations and the remarkable natural setting helped me understand the difference between France and Spain regarding your art. Your respect for the animal and its protection opened my eyes to your own respect for animals. I invite those skeptical of your games to come and see the well-being of your animals. Your estate allows us to travel and experience nature in its purest form. Thank you for these excursions (train, horse-drawn carriage, and horseback) that reveal a lush natural environment.
PS: Thank you to Bécason for being so careful with my wife on her first horseback ride.

06/09/2026: No stars would be better!
We wanted to have drinks here today (a Coke, a coffee, and water). After being ignored by the first waiter and offered a table for two by another waiter, where we sat down, waiter number one soon came and very rudely pressured us to order (we don't speak very good French, but we're trying our best). While we were ordering, he looked at us disdainfully, impatiently snatched the menu from my mother's hand, and pulled it away from me. We were very taken aback. The waiter disappeared without another word. We got up and left! NEVER AGAIN. ABSOLUTELY NOT!
01/09/2026: A truly beautiful place.
- its surroundings (at the foot of the beautiful church in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer)
- its menu (I enjoyed delicious tapas one lunchtime, a tasty and generous chocolate crepe, and several evenings excellent cocktails and mojitos)
- its atmosphere (some evenings were fantastic, with great live music and a friendly vibe where lots of people danced casually on part of the terrace and even around the church square)
- its warm welcome (the owner and her team are welcoming and attentive to their customers). I was even surprised to receive a homemade cake with a candle for my birthday from the owner... and a gift! (a lovely coral-colored t-shirt). I'm still amazed. She's so sweet, and I'll think of her every time I wear it.
I'll definitely come back to see this lovely woman I didn't know on my next trip to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Thank you so much, Sylvie!
