07/03/2026: An entrance opens onto the street, leading under a beautifully decorated wooden roof adorned with string lights. The zucchini carpaccio with octopus is a delight! A superb atmosphere with soft background music.
02/03/2026: I would have given more than five stars if possible. A fantastic find in Saint-Émilion. Friendly and welcoming staff. Delicious food. Thank you for a lovely evening.

06/08/2026: Really nice restaurant with a beautiful terrace!!
We came here for dinner and really enjoyed it. The cold lentil soup (suggestion of the day) was super refreshing, and the slow-cooked lamb for two was absolutely delicious - so tender and flavourful.
The only small miss was the wine. We asked for a recommendation, but it didn’t match our style. No big deal though—everyone’s taste is different.
Would happily come back. Highly recommend!
06/08/2026: Third time visiting L'Envers du Décor, and I have to say I think it's gone downhill a bit. The atmosphere is still the best thing about this place—exactly what you'd expect from a lively French bistro, with plenty of character and a great buzz.
Unfortunately, the food really fell short this time. We had the T-bone steak and steak tartare, among other dishes, and I mention the meat because everyone who ate it ended up feeling sick later that night. It was really disappointing given how much we'd enjoyed our previous visits.
The service wasn't great either. We had to wait around 10 minutes for our side dishes after our mains had already arrived, and our waitress wasn't particularly friendly or attentive.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience compared to our previous visits. I hope this was just an off night, but based on this visit, I'd be hesitant to return

17/08/2026: Very disappointed with the Dame Blanche I was served.
I was expecting a proper dessert, but I only received two scoops of ice cream in a small ramekin, with a frankly disappointing presentation. Considering the price of a Dame Blanche, I find the quantity very small and the value for money difficult to justify.
Between the size of the container, the two small scoops, and the presentation, it's far from what I expect when I order a Dame Blanche in a restaurant.
It's a shame, because this kind of detail leaves a bad impression.
Dame Blanche at 8 euros, 3/20.
Melted whipped cream, two scoops, and a little chocolate sauce.
Not a recommended establishment.
I was able to speak directly and cordially with the owner. He offered to make me a new sundae free of charge, an offer I declined. I would nevertheless like to point out that this gentleman was honest, attentive, and tried to find a solution. Therefore, I think it's important to point that out as well.
10/08/2026: A very nice restaurant in the hills above Saint-Émilion. Fast service, very pleasant and smiling staff, very reasonable and affordable menu. Well done to the whole team for your excellent organization!

24/05/2024: Peu importe ce qu’on y mange…. Cela ne m’a pas marqué.
En revanche, un patron ODIEUX avec ses salariés. Cela donne un bien mauvaise image, et une énorme envie de s’enfuir.
08/04/2024: We popped in on a day trip to St Emilion to grab a croissant for breakfast, which were delicious and prompted us to return for lunch. The baguettes were delicious, and reasonably priced as part of a sandwich, dessert + drink deal for €11. Would highly recommend for a quick, tasty lunch when exploring St Emilion.
