My friend and I were just passing through Gap for four hours before catching our BlaBlaCar ride. Our brief visit to this café made us want to stay longer… or simply come back to Gap!
A huge thank you to the owner and her husband for their warm welcome and kindness. They are down-to-earth, genuine, and deeply humane people—truly worthwhile individuals.
Thank you again for your advice about the city and for helping us with our luggage. We rarely leave tips, but your kindness truly touched us.
A wonderful encounter and a place we won't forget.
We'll definitely be back!

19/09/2026: Hello, I'm unfortunately obliged to share my opinion because I was extremely disappointed with my experience. First, I'll give you the positive points: the restaurant is frankly clean; even the baseboards and corners visible from my chair were clean, which is very pleasant. There's a good variety of choices, and the service was quick and the staff were friendly. The fries were cooked perfectly, which is increasingly rare. The prices are affordable for a family.
Now for the negative points... When you're sitting at a table and you hear employees openly criticizing and mocking regular customers, or when you can follow the next order... it's a bit off-putting.
Then, regarding the food, my bread was a bit stale, or at least not fresh. The "EU origin" meat is already a shame, but then it tastes like very low-quality meat, and on top of that, it's overcooked... The burger itself has no flavor; all the flavors blend together instead of being distinct.
The ingredients undoubtedly come from a supermarket or something similar... These days, making a tiramisu takes 15 minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to assemble, and it keeps for two or three days in the fridge... Here, in this case, it's mass-produced and not good. In fact, mine was half-frozen, even though it should have been cold.
The ice cream was appalling. Going to a restaurant to eat mass-produced food... It's unacceptable.
The outdoor terrace is sloping... Impossible to eat there; it's not comfortable at all.
In short, there's a lot of room for improvement. Currently, this restaurant is one to avoid. It's a shame because the potential is enormous.
06/09/2026: I hope that one day people like you will shut down the big fast food chains. Hearty, piping hot, and excellent for the same price. I ordered it again immediately, purely out of greed!

22/07/2026: I enjoyed eating something hot in a cool place during the summer. There are plenty of options for building your own taco, and the hygiene is top-notch. I recommend it.
22/07/2026: I had a great time with my colleague. We weren't in a very good mood when we arrived, but we were warmly welcomed by Jeremy, who was very patient despite our questionable humor. We left in a much better mood. I highly recommend it!

20/09/2026: If you're used to McDonald's in North Rhine-Westphalia, you'll be pleasantly surprised here. So, McDonald's can actually be run and operated by "normal" people. The employees were friendly, focused, and efficient. And everyone was wearing hairnets. We haven't seen that since the 80s, I think. The restaurant was very clean. Our order was ready quickly. We're completely unaccustomed to both of those things in the Ruhr area. The clientele, mostly students and families with children, was quite lively.
Price comparison: Hamburger here €2.95 (currently €2.50 in Germany), Cheeseburger here €3.70 (currently €2.75 in Germany), Large Fries €3.90.
And the hamburgers seemed smaller than in Germany.

McDonald's

14/09/2026: The box is supposed to contain chicken delights, chicken chunks, and nuggets, but apparently they decided to put only nuggets in it, even though that's not what it says on the box or the receipt... Honestly, this place is getting worse and worse, and it's the same thing every time... The last time I went was six months ago, and it was already a mess, but this is the last time. There were two cars waiting, and there were only four of us in the car, and they couldn't even take an order properly.
I advise you to go somewhere else if you don't want to be disappointed.
Just so you know.
04/09/2026: I ordered through Uber Eats, and when we opened the order, our burgers and fries were squashed because there were three Happy Meals on top.
When I called to complain, they brushed me off, saying, "A Happy Meal weighs 100 grams," so I must be lying?
It's infuriating how they can't be expected to learn from their mistakes, and the young man on the phone was incredibly rude. They just can't seem to learn from their mistakes.

15/09/2026: Toilets to avoid, but when you have no choice you make do 🥴 To access them you have to go down a floor, there's toilet paper everywhere and to top it all off, see what's posted (see photo)
18/07/2026: Avoid this bar at all costs. I ordered a syrup and went to get it from the counter, but when I brought it to my table, a waiter pulled down my pants and started dancing the zouk in front of me. He defended himself by saying it was a joke.

09/05/2026: A place to AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
The new management, I dare say, has a total disregard for its customers!
It starts with disrespect upon arrival, with employees smoking outside. We were left waiting at the counter for ages without any regard for us or even bothering to seat us.
There were barely 3 tables occupied at 12:30 PM!!
A so-called waitress, squeezed into her top with her midriff exposed…
We had a reservation for 3, the table was set for 3, and yet one glass was missing.
30 minutes to order, 20 minutes for drinks, and NEVER a single carafe of water – we had to ask for it!!!
Then another 1.5-hour wait to receive our 3 measly dishes!!! I was about to leave, but it was already past 2:30 PM…
And what's more, the food was tasteless!!! A salad with specialties and charcuterie is exorbitantly priced. You expect good charcuterie and local products, but NO WAY! Products from Lidl, resold at exorbitant prices, drowned in soggy salad.
And what about dessert? A 20-minute wait for a gourmet coffee, and then, the icing on the cake… a plate with four petit fours drowning in cocoa powder! I got it all over my clothes, and it was completely caked on.
All this for nearly €90 for three people, including one main course, one glass of wine, and one gourmet coffee.
A SHAME!!!
And no one apologizes for the wait (they can't smoke and work at the same time; you have to choose between smoking and working, and they made that choice…), the staff who couldn't care less about their customers, the appalling food, and the deplorable management.
With the previous owners, it was a delight: cheerful waiters, top-notch and fast service, even when the restaurant was full.
Now it's a disaster.
Leave immediately; you're a disgrace to the restaurant industry!
