09/07/2025: The boss is very friendly, but as soon as he's replaced by his shaved-headed cook who's abusive and totally crazy, even uncontrollable, then things get crazy!!!
What a shame!
He should get rid of him as soon as possible.
I won't be going back.

09/07/2025: A wonderful stay at Le Grand Monarque! Everything was perfect, especially the friendly and helpful staff. And, the location is great - restaurants etc in town are easily walkable. I highly recommend this lovely hotel!
07/07/2025: We stayed 1 night in the hotel Le Grand Monarque while traveling. It is located in the middle of the quiet village on the Indre Azay le Rideau, within walking distance of the castle of Azay. The room was comfortable, spacious and very clean. Beautiful bathroom with excellent shower. Slept very well in the excellent bed. Although the hotel is located in the middle of Azay, it was very quiet at night. Well-kept breakfast and friendly, smooth service. Very friendly staff. You can park your car for €7 in a closed, uncovered parking lot. Our congratulations to the management and the team!
