The location is great, in a very lively central square.
The staff were very pleasant and smiling.

23/05/2026: The service was very slow, but they apologized and explained that we were in a hurry, so they did everything they could to get the rest of our order to arrive quickly. That being said, it was excellent and well-presented. The Black Forest cake is superb.
18/05/2026: Very good restaurant and pleasant service. The only downside was the flammekueche, which was slightly burnt on the bottom of the pastry; otherwise, nothing to complain about.

13/07/2026: TOP: The platter du jour (entry + main course) exceeded our expectations. The gazpacho and sea bream with roasted vegetables and basmati rice were delicious and perfectly seasoned. Kudos to the kitchen! Impeccable and very friendly service. A definite recommendation without reservation!

07/08/2026: A difficult experience, an unfriendly welcome, we were refused a seat inside even though all the tables were empty. Our child seemed to be inconvenienced as there was no seating provided for a 3-year-old, no smaller portions available, and no children's menu. (I didn't demand anything at all; I even offered to leave because my daughter, indeed, wouldn't be able to eat an adult's portion at her age.) There was no cook, and the food seemed to have been microwaved. The quality was poor.
Around us, we saw people who wanted to eat being rudely turned away. An awkward situation. Prices far too high.
We obviously do not recommend this place. We were misled by previous reviews (change of ownership).
11/07/2026: A pleasant restaurant on Rue Saint-Jean.
It's not fine dining, but it's a comfortable place. The waitresses are very friendly and do their best to minimize the wait time. And the setting is great.

03/03/2026: Excellent bakery and pastry shop, very good products; for me, it's the best bread in Saumur, and the same goes for their pastries. The service is pleasant, and they always think of the little ones by giving them a small cream puff, which isn't always the case in bakeries. I highly recommend it.

Allez y, c'est une très bonne adresse.
Cuisine maison bien sûr réalisé par la patronne. Prix très doux.

25/07/2024: Des produits industriels remballés sous nos yeux! Nutella et Coca-Cola… bref rien de frais excepté le jus d’orange…facturé 4,5€ pour 15 cl avec les glaçons…! Passez votre chemin si vous voulez un bon petit déjeuner.
16/07/2024: We visited this small coffee shop in Saumur for a morning coffee stop. There was a large selection of drinks. The usual favourites were there along with smoothies and bubble teas. The shop was modern clean and tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful as we speak some French but between us our order was sorted. We also got a recommendation for lunch from the staff which added to our day. I would recommend this stop for fresh coffee and a spot of people watching.
