16/06/2026: Quite good. It's almost too popular in high season especially Saturday evening. Tight seating but not uncomfortable. Menu limited but adequate if you don't expect too much. Not too expensive but food not exceptional.
Overall satisfied under the circumstances but Cateret is not my personal choice for good value dining.

24/04/2026: Fantastic food, cocktails, views, service and ambience. We visit Carteret multiple times per year and always try to book into l’escale on every visit. Benoit and staff are very friendly and helpful
