11/05/2026: Big disappointment: a bad experience this year with the Iodine Cure salad. The mini ceviche was tasteless and bland, the two oysters served were clearly not fresh, and the salad (mainly mixed greens with smoked salmon) was dressed with some kind of mayonnaise. Frankly, not great, and on top of that, a bit stingy with the portion. In short, we won't be back.
06/05/2026: Having tried it on the recommendation of the Tourist Office, we were definitely not disappointed. The dish of the day was delicious and beautifully presented. Special mention for the gourmet coffee – a real treat!

Impeccable service, sophisticated and creative cuisine; the chef masterfully and skillfully reinterprets some classic French dishes, combining land and sea, all presented by a team that will make you feel at ease and take excellent care of you.

The ravioli was delicious. The tuna was cooked to perfection, just seared. The sweetbreads were excellent.
The service was equally impressive; the staff were very friendly and efficient. Try La Satrouille, you won't regret it.

24/12/2025: I travel a lot, and I have to say that after going there so often (4 or 5 times a year), this bar has become my favorite in France. Each time, I can treat myself to a break on the terrace. The atmosphere, the setting, the Upper Town and its characters. They undoubtedly make the best Irish coffee in the country. Kudos to the whole team for their warm welcome every time I visit.

16/06/2026: Quite good. It's almost too popular in high season especially Saturday evening. Tight seating but not uncomfortable. Menu limited but adequate if you don't expect too much. Not too expensive but food not exceptional.
Overall satisfied under the circumstances but Cateret is not my personal choice for good value dining.

17/05/2026: Very nice hotel. We had a large clean room, one of 2 on ground floor near parking, excellent for a person w mobility issue. Large parking. Quiet. Pleasant staff, very good restaurant (one menu for the day). Good breakfast. Recommended.
23/04/2026: The Lion d’Or is a particularly well-maintained hotel where you immediately feel at ease. The rooms and common areas are bright and well-kept. A very comfortable stay is guaranteed.
The welcome is warm and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Just a 10-minute walk away, you'll find a lovely park with a discovery trail showcasing the region's trees: a wonderful opportunity for a stroll while learning something new!

22/05/2026: We tried two different types of kebab and while they were of reasonable quality neither had very much taste. We chose a chilli sauce and a garlic sauce so both should be full of flavour but only the garlic one did while the chilli one was just hot rather than tasty.
The pilau rice served with one of the kebabs was pretty good although it did have a stronger than normal cardamom flavour but this actually helped the overall taste.
Ultimately it was all ok but nothing to make you rush back.
