08/09/2026: Duck, duck, and more duck—that's what you should order at La Braisière! Because there's nothing better than duck meat, which absorbs the smoky flavor of the embers so well, and because we're in duck country, it's very rare to find poor-quality duck. We ordered rib-eye steaks and lamb chops: the meat portions were decent (you always have to ask for more potatoes; it's annoying to have one bowl for four people), but the major drawback is the quality of the meat: incredibly bland, and I'm talking about both the beef and the lamb. The meat is of the same quality as that served in restaurants that sell rib-eye steak and fries on a massive scale. The only remaining vestige of La Braisière's old-fashioned charm is the service, which remains impeccable.

30/01/2026: The grilled food cooked in the fireplace is delicious, and I always receive a warm welcome. A reliable choice for lunch or dinner. Easy to get to, excellent in its simplicity. We'll gladly return. The live music evenings are also very enjoyable.

18/07/2026: A warm welcome, just like the people of eastern France know how to offer, and cuisine worthy of Alsatian grandmothers. Eating sauerkraut in the summer was a pleasure and a feast; even the presence of the oven for the flammekueche was a welcome touch despite the heat. I felt like I was dining at the home of friends who know how to cook and host exceptionally well. Undoubtedly one of the finest restaurants in Toulouse's Colombette district...

27/08/2026: Service ok, preparation (marinade) ok but piece of meat partly tough (1/5th), fries cooked in oil that was way too old (altered taste), so a big disappointment especially for a classic steak frites from a so-called specialist establishment.

26/08/2026: Beef Chateaubriand fillet cooked to perfection. Very good, very tender and flavorful.

14/08/2026: The meat was good quality and the wood-fired cooking was excellent, but unfortunately, the side dishes were ridiculously small for the price. There were no fries because the fryer was broken, but any good restaurant finds workarounds, whereas here, we only got a vegetable skewer. I think we were served by students, but the service briefing must have been poor. It was very complicated: no water or wine refills, and the bread arrived halfway through dinner because "it was still frozen"... We had a reservation for 7:30 pm. How can the start of service have so many hiccups? In short, I used to go there often, but this time I was very disappointed. What a shame.

30/07/2026: Honestly, I have nothing to say, it was a truly fantastic experience. The food was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming from beginning to end. They were always smiling, and it felt like they had just opened, they were so energetic and eager to please. They were there when needed without being intrusive, which was really nice. Plus, they offered us extra food without us even asking. And the thing that surprised me the most was that they even "offered" us a tip. It's the first time in my life a restaurant has done that for me, so it really made an impression. At the end, we even received a compliment. They told us we were good people, and honestly, that was heartwarming. It's little touches like that that make you want to come back. You can tell they truly respect their customers and that they do this job with passion. It was a great discovery and I will gladly return, God willing. I highly recommend it.

As for the food, it was simply exceptional. I ordered the mixed grill with lahmacun, and everything was perfectly executed. The meats were tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection, with an authentic flavor that showcased the chef's expertise. The lahmacun was generous, crispy, and incredibly delicious. You can tell the ingredients are high-quality and that each dish is prepared with passion. The atmosphere is friendly, welcoming, and ideal for spending a wonderful time with friends or family. Honestly, it's one of the best experiences I've had at a grill restaurant. I will definitely be back and I recommend it 100%!
