08/09/2026: Duck, duck, and more duck—that's what you should order at La Braisière! Because there's nothing better than duck meat, which absorbs the smoky flavor of the embers so well, and because we're in duck country, it's very rare to find poor-quality duck. We ordered rib-eye steaks and lamb chops: the meat portions were decent (you always have to ask for more potatoes; it's annoying to have one bowl for four people), but the major drawback is the quality of the meat: incredibly bland, and I'm talking about both the beef and the lamb. The meat is of the same quality as that served in restaurants that sell rib-eye steak and fries on a massive scale. The only remaining vestige of La Braisière's old-fashioned charm is the service, which remains impeccable.

Eating sauerkraut in the summer was a pleasure and a feast; even the presence of the oven for the flammekueche was a welcome touch despite the heat. 02/08/2026: Yes and no Weekday dinner for 5 people Yes: Nice menu and wine list Location Very spacious exterior with many different nooks and crannies Musical ambiance Food okay Good meats No: Chaotic service Multiple mistakes with the dishes and a long wait to get them back on track 45 minutes to get a bottle of wine, practically for dessert! Charcuterie board served with half a sausage... not sliced Bottle of water ordered and never arrived No attention to detail (no bread, no water...) Also note that the restaurant only opens at 7:30 pm and the gates are literally closed until opening time, leaving customers on the street. In this case, the gates were finally opened at 7:40 pm. It's a shame, good concept and decent food but the customer approach leaves much to be desired which gives a disappointing experience and a bitter taste for the customer.

23/08/2026: For many years, we'd wanted to stop here to enjoy a proper cassoulet. Friendly welcome at the entrance, but the staff were too rushed, the service felt like an assembly line. But hey, they have to make money, that's understandable. My cassoulet was very good, although I found it slightly too peppery. My husband loved it. Plan a nap before hitting the road again 🤣 A very generous portion of cassoulet.

23/08/2026: A well-known restaurant that's worth a stop during your motorway journey. The welcome is very friendly and the cassoulet is exactly what you'd expect from a top-notch establishment. The prices are reasonable.

09/09/2026: Very disappointed. We've noticed a decline in quality for a while now. The daily special, which was supposed to be salmon lasagna, was nowhere to be seen! Meanwhile, the dried spinach, which wasn't mentioned in the description, was everywhere. And all this for 60 euros is unacceptable. We won't be back.

01/09/2026: A delightful surprise during a trip to the region. The food was excellent; I enjoyed a generous, incredibly tender ribeye steak cooked to perfection. The side of fries and salad was also impeccable in both quantity and quality. Highly recommended! However, be sure to book ahead, as it was quite busy for a Tuesday lunchtime, and we had the excellent idea of ​​arriving early to snag one of the last tables.
