12/12/2025: A very pleasant and clean hotel with very kind, polite, helpful, and attentive staff. The restaurant was excellent, both in terms of the dining room and the food. The evening meal was very good, and the breakfast was very complete with plenty of choice, all delicious. Thank you so much for the little gift! 😊 The room was very nice, the bedding was superb, the bed very comfortable, and the bathroom lovely. Nothing to complain about; the only slight drawback was the location right next to a roundabout, but this didn't prevent a good night's sleep.
11/12/2025: Hotel in its original state. Poor value for money.
Bad smell in the bathroom.
Broken shower rail. Impersonal.

30/11/2025: We came yesterday for the third time... It's still just as good! You'll find dishes to suit every spice tolerance (mild to hot). Special mention for the breaded black pudding with apples.

19/04/2026: We had lunch on the terrace, which is truly lovely and a definite plus for the restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience was marred by several factors.
Firstly, we were significantly bothered by cigarette smoke from neighboring tables, which made the experience rather unpleasant.
Secondly, the service was quite slow, and the quality of the food didn't impress us: it was adequate, but nothing special, and below our expectations.
In short, a nice setting but an overall disappointing experience considering the service and the food.
18/04/2026: First and last time.
A set menu with salted pork and a chicken dish.
I was sick as soon as I left the restaurant.
The salted pork wasn't fresh and hadn't come straight from the fridge.
I had to go home and cut my visit to Rochefort short.
AVOID. UNRELIABLE.

05/04/2026: Excellent place! This is the second time I've eaten at this little restaurant while passing through Rochefort. The owner, who is also the chef, is as genuine as his cooking, and his wife is lovely. No need for unnecessary hype, don't hesitate to stop by.

03/01/2026: Absolutely no respect for their customers! Three deliveries at the same time for a single driver, over 20 minutes late, with my daughter waiting for her pizza. Shameful! And the only word they gave was "sorry," lol. I'm not going to call you, I already called you just now, and the only word was "sorry." Over 25 minutes late, still nothing. Unacceptable!
01/01/2026: The pizzas, or rather the cardboard they served us, were terrible!
I was really looking forward to ordering pizzas with a thick, fluffy crust, but unfortunately, even though I ordered one with a fluffy crust, I received a pizza with a cardboard base!
In short, I'm very disappointed. For the price, the quality is clearly lacking!
I don't recommend it!

23/09/2024: Lots of fried food and what isn't fried lacks finesse. High prices for what they offer. Our bread was completely dried out and the water tasted very much like chlorine. With a starter and some wine you can easily spend 50 to 60 euros per person. I think the oysters we ate had been open for a long time. I was sick from it during the night. Fish was fried too hard, risotto was not creamy but dried out. The fries were tasty but extremely oily. Alioli was very tasty.
The waiters were friendly and quick in service. But all in all, I don't really understand the rave reviews.
Fewer dishes on the menu and more attention to cooking and finishing would probably improve things.

And yet difficult for my friend in a wheelchair, the boss helped us.
Hearty dish, Baba au Rhum, a killer dish, it’s more like Rhum au Baba

02/11/2023: Belle chambre, personnel sympathique et accueillant. Petit déjeuner très copieux et divers.
29/10/2023: Déçu, le monsieur a l'accueil pas agréable , la chambre pas propre et insonorisation zéro. Le claquement des portes résonne pour vous dire on voit la lumière sous la porte.
Rideau tâché, poussière sous le lit , poils sur les draps, et la toile d'araignée au dessus du lit..
Salle de bain très petite avec une chasse d'eau qui se rempli beaucoup trop lentement..
Au robinet là c'est l'inverse .. manque le mousseur et donc on met de l'eau partout . Attention pas de climatisation. Et le week-end le restaurant est fermé 😠
Nous ne recommandons pas .

La cuisine du restaurant est tout à fait ordinaire à co-notation asiatique/vegan : tomates mozza, taboule, nouilles légumes poulet,
Le prix des boissons est excessif.
27/05/2024: Nous voulions juste boire un verre, on nous donne une carte de boissons, on a attendu attendu, on est parti. Nous sommes restaurateurs sur oleron : les prix pratiqués dans cet établissement sont exorbitants ! Avec 1 table de 2 dans la salle, à 3 ils n'étaient pas débordés ! Lamentable!!!

But for this review, this does not constitute a bad rating.
Beautiful menu, quick response on the phone, pizzas delivered with great kindness, fair price.
But despite the ingredients which seem good and the dough which is also good, I found the taste ordinary. Not bad. But I didn't enjoy it. To try again on another recipe?
01/11/2024: I have just corrected my son's opinion, it was a direct reaction, yes I was disappointed but it is very rare on the part of look pizza. I remain very picky about the quality of what I eat. My children were delighted and devoured theirs.
So far I've had almost no negative opinions on what we ordered, I just didn't come across the pizza that I liked, that's all.

14/12/2023: Very friendly bistro and quality traditional cuisine. The homemade tripe (dish of the day) and the veal head were very good, well served, not greasy at all. And the salted butter caramel cream, a real Proust madeleine! The decor contributes to the warm atmosphere, don't hesitate to open the door
