01/11/2023: The Joly hotel restaurant being closed, we ordered 2 pizzas. Deadlines respected, excellent quality and kindness of the manager.

22/08/2024: Disappointed by the weekday card after being attracted by the June 30 card on FB. Only 2 starters instead of 3, country terrine or gizzard salad. 3 dishes accompanied by fries, french fries or french fries, homemade ok but hey... Dessert made with pineapple or mango. I was expecting a plum tart or clafoutis but I forced myself... Either I go back there on a Sunday or I never go back...

25/08/2024: Superbe restaurant offrant une vue inoubliable. Restaurant à la hauteur des avis mentionnés. L'incontournable foudu creusois est à tomber...Un conseil, évitez de prendre une entrée sous peine de ne pas terminer votre assiette 😉. Très bon moment passé, n'oubliez pas de réserver...

24/08/2024: Great food and a great setting. We had a delightful lunch on the terrace overlooking the valley. The speciality beef on hanging skewers was particularly appreciated and the fish was excellent. Lovely range of desserts. Friendly and very good service. Definitely a winner!

25/05/2024: We had lunch here last Wednesday. We hadn't booked but were accommodated without problem in the bar area as the restaurant was full. The restaurant is clearly frequented by manual workers but there were retired folk there too. The Menu du Jour offered a choice of 2 starters, 2 main courses, a cheese course and 2 desserts. We had the salmon quiche, steak and chips, cheese and a muffin with cold custard. Everything was very good and the portions generous. A half litre of red wine was included but, when we ordered a further quarter litre, another half was brought and we were told that this too was included! The service was efficient and pleasant, there was a nice, lively atmosphere and we were made very welcome. On paying, we were astonished to learn that the total bill was only €30. Exceptional value, given the quality and portion size. No wonder the place was full! Highly recommended.
