22/08/2024: Disappointed by the weekday card after being attracted by the June 30 card on FB. Only 2 starters instead of 3, country terrine or gizzard salad. 3 dishes accompanied by fries, french fries or french fries, homemade ok but hey... Dessert made with pineapple or mango. I was expecting a plum tart or clafoutis but I forced myself... Either I go back there on a Sunday or I never go back...

10/06/2024: Good restaurant, beautiful presentation of the dishes. Impeccable service and compliments to the chef!

01/11/2023: The Joly hotel restaurant being closed, we ordered 2 pizzas. Deadlines respected, excellent quality and kindness of the manager.

12/03/2024: We have been many times to La Raviere before... My kid loved it so much that asked me to spend his birthday lunch there (I know the mains are only rosti and sausage, but still, my son is 12years old now and this is kind of a kids' menu itself). Anyway - I called the owner on a Wednesday and book it for Saturday, and arrived there with 8 people as informed. To my surprise, the owner was pissed off and said we booked it for previous Wednesday!!! And I told her no, Saturday (SA-ME-DI) and she said no, that I had said AUJOURD'OUI and that this was because of my poor French (yes, I am a foreigner but still know the difference). The fact is she was super impolite and escalated her voice to the point of screaming... I couldn't hold it and I screamed back at her and left the place. My son cried a lot, plus all the other 3 kids that were with us. She transformed our celebration into a nightmare, plus she was xenophobic telling me this was my French that caused it in a mocking tone in front of all the clients. Everything happened in front of my ski instructor who is a local and can testify. He was horrified.

25/08/2024: Superbe restaurant offrant une vue inoubliable. Restaurant à la hauteur des avis mentionnés. L'incontournable foudu creusois est à tomber...Un conseil, évitez de prendre une entrée sous peine de ne pas terminer votre assiette 😉. Très bon moment passé, n'oubliez pas de réserver...

24/08/2024: Great food and a great setting. We had a delightful lunch on the terrace overlooking the valley. The speciality beef on hanging skewers was particularly appreciated and the fish was excellent. Lovely range of desserts. Friendly and very good service. Definitely a winner!

24/07/2024: Arriving at 6 in the middle of service we were not served until more than an hour later and so after a dish and a coffee we closed. Very poorly organized service with a person behind the bar waiting. As former restaurateurs, we have often wanted to get back into the kitchen.

06/03/2025: Smell of mold emanating from the entrance to the business...or the manager smoked these cigarettes all day, neither too much inside nor outside where more than shady individuals are hanging around. The taxman and police should take a look...

25/05/2024: We had lunch here last Wednesday. We hadn't booked but were accommodated without problem in the bar area as the restaurant was full. The restaurant is clearly frequented by manual workers but there were retired folk there too. The Menu du Jour offered a choice of 2 starters, 2 main courses, a cheese course and 2 desserts. We had the salmon quiche, steak and chips, cheese and a muffin with cold custard. Everything was very good and the portions generous. A half litre of red wine was included but, when we ordered a further quarter litre, another half was brought and we were told that this too was included! The service was efficient and pleasant, there was a nice, lively atmosphere and we were made very welcome. On paying, we were astonished to learn that the total bill was only €30. Exceptional value, given the quality and portion size. No wonder the place was full! Highly recommended.

11/06/2024: Careful and family cuisine. Passing through the Creuse: Danielle offers the lunch formula for €16 (French service): dish of raw vegetables, grated carrots, tomatoes, beets, hard-boiled egg + country terrine with radishes and pickles + chicken thigh and crotch with small carrot peas + 4 cheese platter + egg cream with 2 madeleines + coffee and of course wine... is included!!! . I find our old bistros in France. This disappeared France that we love so much.

18/05/2024: Still so good. Worker's menu with 4 to 6 starters. Butcher's sirloin. Cheese. Desert. Madame Lorsery always so kind.

18/07/2024: Hello, very well received and very friendly. Very clean. Very reasonable price. A moment of relaxation with friends and family to drink a good coffee or something else. At the same time, you can do a little scratching, play lotto, trifecta....etc. I recommend
