04/11/2023: An exceptional setting, we eat inside part of the castle! Rich decor, very nice furniture, guaranteed atmosphere. The dishes are of good quality and very affordable. Nice wines too! The desserts are very delicious, it is better to save room to fully enjoy them. The welcome is great and the service fast. We had a wonderful time as a family. Well done to the whole team👏

15/03/2024: It’s a friendly place. The waitress, although all alone in the room, does not have both feet in the same shoe...We were served in a completely reasonable time for a Sunday and with a beautiful smile to boot. I can only recommend this restaurant which has excellent value for money 👍

03/05/2024: We had a good stay thanks to the location of the campsite which is in a magnificent region but also thanks to the campsite itself which is very well maintained. However, we were disappointed by certain things in the campsite: - we were unable to take advantage of the entertainment that interested us, the location in front of the restaurant being much too small. - the terrace of our mobile home overlooked the air conditioning unit opposite the one opposite. We therefore had the privilege of having lunch and dinner in front of an unpleasant noise. - the swimming pool is undersized compared to the size of the campsite. We only took advantage of it in the evening (which ultimately could be suitable given the number of activities to do in the region) - last little thing, the language barrier did not facilitate exchanges between our children and others (very few French speakers during our period)

09/03/2024: We spent 7 days at the end of April in a mobile home at this very pleasant campsite with airy pitches. Lovely and very helpful staff. Nothing to complain about the mobile home, very clean! As the swimming pool is not open, independently right next door there is a water sports center with a magnificent pool and jacuzzi at a more than modest price. I recommend ! !

15/11/2023: There are addresses of the heart and this is one of them... Everything is there: the place, the cuisine and the human warmth, all for a price that we forget... What more could you ask for?

04/04/2024: A wonderful gourmet restaurant in a historic building and located on a small stream. The menu is classic French, but with a very clear regional flavor. The service does its work attentively and quickly. The ambience, on the other hand, is wonderfully informal. Overall, a very good performance at really reasonable prices (at this level). Go!

26/03/2024: A slight disappointment upon discovering this local "reference": the cuisine is sophisticated and of high quality, the decor is cozy, but the atmosphere is not really warm - the tension in terms of service is palpable. Not the best gastro in Périgord Noir, in any case, although worth a future visit (real taste research)... To be continued.

29/04/2024: A family lunch, very warm welcome, a menu that is not too extensive but diversified which is a guarantee of freshness, I highly recommend the sweetbreads, quality wines, take the detour but remember to book, the setting is enchanting this way. spoil nothing in these exceptional moments, the staff, at the top

08/05/2024: Taken aback from the reception. And we quickly understand why, the chef is... alone. Between the expeditious welcome, the placement, the order taking, everything goes at high speed. A little rough, pushy, but after opening up to the chef, we discovered a friendly man who dealt with it. Hit or miss. Might as well be warned. We wish him to quickly find good staff on duty. The plate forgives the rest, we feel the desire to please and the generosity. The chef allowed himself to double the starter for our pleasure. THANKS ! Don't expect great Michelin-starred gastronomy. We're getting closer to a brasserie feel, and it's good, simple, with good products. My goodness, we indulge in a good meal with friends. I'll be back.

28/03/2024: Passing through and one of the only restaurants open in the area before Easter, I stopped here for lunch (also thanks to the very good reviews). Good welcome and pleasant setting by the fire, the meal was more than successful: I had a dessert dish, the dish was a more than fresh line bass with vegetables cooked properly and a delicious sauce, the dessert was a revisited dark chocolate crumble, I enjoyed it! I recommend !

30/01/2024: On a friend's strong recommendation we came for Sunday lunch. What a find! The restaurant is situated in a beautiful tranquil setting. We were greeted at the door by the friendly owner who gave exceptional service throughout. The dining area is warm and inviting and the food...WOW! We were offered an amuse bouche of parmesan biscuits followed by creamy Jerusalem artichoke purée... delicious! Our party of four went on to have starters of super fresh cuttlefish, beautifully prepared with horseradish and celeriac, Potato and onion soup with local cured ham which was full of flavour. Mains included beef and monkfish beautifully served with seasonal vegetables and incredible sauces. Desert: local cheese board and an out-of-this-world Paris brest with praline cream. The owner told us that all ingredients are sourced locally and served as fresh as possible. The proof is in the taste! As such, the menu is updated weekly. The wine list was extensive with several organic choices. All four of us agreed it was one of the best meals we have ever had in France and will definitely return in haste
