28/08/2024: TABLE FOR 7 WITHOUT RESERVATION??? Pure Hazard made us stop at this pub. That day we didn't even plan to go to Périgueux (a city full of surprises) I myself worked in hostels (the highest quality in France and abroad) before my family life. We were really amazed by the professionalism of their waitresses, taking orders as much as the service, they had the answer to each of the questions on the menu. A very big congratulations 👏👏👏 the impeccable service. The terrace was full when we arrived but we apparently don't watch the clock here because customers are still flocking when we leave. Finally...the kitchen. We had non-alcoholic cocktails (exceptional cases but you have to go back one day) a real delight... meanwhile they brought us the burger plate from the children's menu... a huge plate... absolutely all homemade . The mark is given.....the rest for adults remains in line. Very generous plates with good products and great flavors. Périgord salad, whole duck breast, thyme and honey lamb shank........everything is very good, clean and neat. A big congratulations. Visitors from 15🐂🐂🐂

28/08/2024: Nice little aperitif, a good quality cheese board and provided precisely given the price. A very nice choice of beers, the happy hour beer is very tempting (€3.50 per pint). I limit it to 4 for the kitchen because we only had an aperitif board, however the kitchen seems very good. If you want to watch matches this is the place for you with their giant outdoor screen. I recommend!

25/01/2025: Found this good restaurant, while waiting for the Vessuna Gallo-Roman Archaeological museum to open in the afternoon.. I had a steak (bavette) for lunch and it was tender and delicious.

19/01/2025: I recommend this establishment. While passing through Périgueux, we stopped at the latter. What a great discovery! The welcome was warm, the team available and attentive, and the quality of the products exceptional. Everything was delicious, a real treat! We feel that the chef is passionate, and this is reflected in each plate. We liked it so much that we went back the next day. An address not to be missed.

09/12/2024: Un petit endroit très sympa en centre ville. Un excellent accueil. Une cuisine simple mais très bonne et fait maison pour un prix raisonnable. N'hésitez pas de vous y arrêter.

06/12/2024: Rapport qualité-prix vraiment excellent, nous nous sommes régalés grâce au cuistot ainsi que le personnel de salle, personne agréable avec un service impeccable , le café gourmand a fini d'acheter notre estomac nous sommes sortis de la après avoir vraiment vraiment bien manger bien situé cadre agréable que dire de plus à part que je retournerai merci pour ce bon moment

11/05/2024: Absolutely fabulous little restaurant in a lovely peaceful square in the midday of Perigeaux.We was warmly welcomed by i assume the owner who fortunately spoke English as our French is limited and shown the lunchtime menu which although some would say was limited it covered all your requirements.We both had the crab to start with my wife having perfectly cooked (medium rare) steak for her main and me the sweet breads cooked in a mushroom sauce with the obligatory cheese to finnish everything was excellent,washed down with a lovely rose wine all for €100 outstanding value,food,service and setting DO NOT miss this restaurant if your ever in the area. 22/09/2024: If you ever want to order cold drinks after a hot summer day, it's simply impossible... Yes yes from 6 p.m. the staff will tell you (without further explanation) that the drinks service is no longer available, on a Saturday, at 6:15 p.m., in the city center... The comedy of this situation! It's something to laugh about but I understand that my two poor drinks were not tempting enough to increase the turnover at the end of the day. Probably lazy on the part of the staff to have to go get two drinks and collect 15 poor euros... The terrace was almost full of people who, like us, were drinking drinks, and the funny thing is that when we came back 30 minutes later, there were no people inside or out. Obviously drinkers are turned away from this establishment like at the entrance to a nightclub, in 20 years and even in larger cities I have never seen or heard this excuse. Having asked people in the industry, they have never heard that too 😂 In short, if you are going to drink at this address, move on.

12/12/2024: Here is a magical place... which unfortunately will end its 22 years of love for cooking and customers this next Christmas... Retirement required! We rushed there at noon and will return before it closes definitively... Too bad for us, for the staff BUT so much the better for the boss... who well deserved his retirement... 29/07/2024: We were welcomed on the occasion of our grandmother's 90th birthday. An exceptional moment, carried by the kindness, generosity and empathy of our hosts. Mamie was very moved by the attentive service and the perfectly adapted and quite remarkable menu. Incidental but very notable, our puppy was also particularly well received, with special attention, which really touched us. Excellence both in the kitchen and in the dining room: the chef's creativity is certain, creativity that he was able to express despite the constraint, with a lot of understanding. The result met our expectations. Delicious ! Thank you again for your hospitality.
