Excellent welcome.
A very good dinner with efficient service.
The caravan is beautiful, the bedding is very comfortable, and we didn't hear a thing during the night.
17/03/2026: We had a wonderful night at the Hôtel du Relais during a getaway to the Drôme region with my partner.
The building is magnificent, and the grounds are very welcoming as well.
We stayed in a gypsy caravan for a unique experience, and it offered all the usual comforts of a standard room, while still feeling like we were in our own little haven. We loved it.
We also dined at the hotel restaurant, which is excellent. The menu offers exceptional value for money, and the service is equally attentive.
Finally, breakfast confirmed our impressions; the buffet has everything you could want, and you can even order freshly baked eggs!
In short, we have very fond memories of our stay in Hauterives, the Hôtel du Relais, and of course, the Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval!

01/02/2026: I ordered a pizza for lunch today and get this: with the first bite, I found myself in an evening gown, cooling off in the Trevi Fountain! Who would have thought Italy could be right here in Hauterives? Fai il viaggio!!!
13/12/2025: Great work atmosphere and excellent pizza, my first visit today, even though I live in Anneyron. I'll be back, because in Anneyron it's a minimum of €20.

10/08/2024: Plats sans saveur, sans sauce (juste un pot avec des sachets de mayonnaise, ketchup et sauce pizza industriels), lieu peu agréable à côté d’une route très passante avec beaucoup de bruit, terrasse plein soleil à peine abritée par des parasols, sanitaires très sale avec un savon « solide » qui baigne dans l’eau du porte savon
15/07/2024: Parfait, lieu très agréable, propriétaire à l'écoute réelle de sa clientèle : parfait!!
Nous reviendrons souvent à l'occasion que nous passeront par ce village, peu d'autres établissements pour cette ambiance !
