23/09/2026: Excellent creperie, certainly the best we've tried in these first 10 days in Brittany. Beautiful region. This also explains why it was featured in the famous Guide du Routard. Their buckwheat crepes (called "galettes") are excellent in terms of their workmanship, filling, and presentation. The Breton, for example, is served with a separate bowl of salad and walnuts. (P.S. I've never understood why in France they almost never cut the salad: you risk finding leaves that could cover the entire table 😏). The young man who served us was very attentive and thoughtful. The room was small and welcoming. The background music was pleasant and unobtrusive. For an aperitif, we had the Kir Breton (cider-based, instead of wine). I chose the Chestnut flavor instead of the classic cassis: a new experience, recommended for those who want to explore the usual tastes. We didn't order the sweet crepes—there's too much food these days—but I peeked at the ones served at other tables, and they looked inviting. I didn't try the cider, alas; I had another hour of driving ahead of me. However, I did take home a case with three bottles; I'll try it as soon as I can! The bill came to €28 for two crepes, two Kirs, and a coffee. Plus €15 for the case of cider.

03/10/2026: The crêperie L’Océane is ideally located near the port of Morlaix. In the summer, an outdoor terrace, shaded by a large parasol, allows you to fully enjoy the sunny days. The service is excellent: the staff are smiling, attentive, and very pleasant. The crêpes are generously filled, delicious, and prepared with care, making it an excellent place to enjoy this iconic Breton dish. A warm and welcoming crêperie, well-located, where the food is excellent. Wheelchair users can access the indoor dining area, but not the outdoor terrace due to a step.

Very good value for money and high-quality cuisine. We didn't know what a lantern house was, but the waitress took the time to explain and show us.

14/09/2026: The owner, Gaëlle, is incredibly welcoming, and the savory buckwheat crepes are delicious, made with local ingredients. As for the sweet crepes, for those with a sweet tooth, I highly recommend the chocolate crepe with a scoop of salted caramel ice cream. And for cider lovers, La Galipette is simply the best. The place is simple but very welcoming. I mustn't forget Jérôme and Thomas, who wait on the tables and take excellent care of the customers. We went back three times during our stay in Morlaix.

21/09/2026: We didn't really have time to see what went on behind the scenes... We'd barely stepped inside the crêperie when we were told our dog wouldn't be allowed. It's the first time we've ever been refused entry because of our little dog. In that case, it would have been much more sensible to put a sign on the storefront saying: No dogs allowed! That would have saved us from being turned away in front of all the other customers. Even though every establishment has its own preferences, it's a shame. Enjoy your meal!

14/08/2026: While passing through Morlaix, I had the pleasure of stumbling upon this place and finding the book I'd been dying to read! There are tons of recommendations, and I really love the atmosphere of the café-bookshop. I hope to have the chance to go back again sometime soon.

05/08/2026: Indeed, the place is picturesque, and the selection of books is both activist and interesting, which might encourage one to spend some time there making a choice. The problem is that the time spent there is marred by the bookseller's constant irritation and bad mood. Apart from acquaintances whom she greets with a smile, the rest of the clientele seems to bother her, which is frustrating for a shopkeeper.

12/10/2026: Passing through Morlaix, I thoroughly enjoyed the welcome and the food at Brasserie de l'Europe. Many thanks to the charming lady who set up tables just for us for drinks, and to JP who took care of us for lunch. The establishment is comfortable, very clean, and serves good food. Bonus: it's now open on Mondays.

20/07/2026: I had a truly wonderful time at La Boucherie. The meat was of excellent quality, cooked exactly as requested, and the side dishes (homemade fries, sauces) were delicious. The service was efficient and friendly, and the restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a meal with friends or family. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend it!
