14/03/2026: Excellent place in Nice for a glass of natural wine or to buy a bottle to take away. The wine selection is rich and carefully curated, with many interesting natural wines. The sommelier is professional, knowledgeable, and helps you choose exactly what matches your taste. They also serve very good snacks — we tried the pâté and sardines, both paired perfectly with the wine. Fresh bread and good butter made the experience even better. A very good wine bar in Nice for natural wine lovers, with a relaxed atmosphere, excellent wine selection, and expert advice. Definitely a place to return to.

22/03/2026: A wonderful discovery. The staff provided a perfect welcome, a signature of the Negresco. For my first time at La Rotonde, I opted for the scallops accompanied by excellent rosé champagne. The cappuccinos were delicious; I had two, and the tart for dessert was equally good. Of course, I revisited the restaurant afterward, and I absolutely fell in love with Eddy Maniez's octopus dish—a must-try! Next time, I'll come in the evening. May this magnificent place continue forever for the enjoyment of both locals and tourists.

10/04/2026: A wonderful discovery of Niçoise socca, with authentic flavors. However, the experience was somewhat marred by service and a welcome that I found rather unfriendly.

07/03/2026: Extremely disappointed, I had been wanting to eat there for a while. It was for my husband's birthday, and we were a party of eight. We had made a reservation 15 days in advance for 9 pm because many of us work and we wanted to have a nice evening. The restaurant was full, and as soon as we arrived, the waitress told us we had to order quickly because the kitchen closed at 9:30 pm. She handed us the menus but didn't offer to take our drinks order and kept coming back insistently, without taking our drink order. She took our main course order along with the drinks. The appetizers to share arrived and were excellent, but a smile from the waitress would have made it even better. The main courses arrived, and the visual disappointment was disappointing. The sausage and mashed potatoes arrived on a child's plate, lukewarm or even cold. For some, the other dishes were acceptable. The quality of the ingredients was perfect, and the flavors were there, thankfully, despite the deplorable service. While we were enjoying our meals, the open kitchen was being cleaned, which is nice, but it could have waited and avoided the harsh cleaning sprays being released into the restaurant's atmosphere. The dessert order arrived, still without a smile. The spoons were piled on the table instead of being placed in front of each guest. When the desserts arrived, we were told that they were out of crème anglaise, so they replaced it with a tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream. The homemade fondant wasn't great; everyone else was served, but I had to wait five minutes for mine. The crème renversée was served hastily. What a shame! It could have been a great find, but unfortunately, it was a complete failure and more than disappointing, especially considering the restaurant's price range.

10/04/2026: Friends recommended this restaurant, and it would have been a shame to miss it. The welcome was very warm, and the simple, local cuisine was delicious. We'll be back on our next trip to Nice.

14/04/2026: Outstanding value for money €25 for 3 x course lunch meal, genuinely homemade food prepared with care, and consistently one of the most reliable places we know. Even the simple house wine is enjoyable and never leaves you with a headache, the baguette is always fresh and delicious, and the food feels as wholesome and honest as something you would prepare yourself at home. It has never disappointed us in the ten years we have been visiting, which says a lot for any restaurant. The quality, honesty of the cooking, and warm local atmosphere keep us coming back year after year.
