14/08/2026: Dinner at Che Acchiardo was a highlight of our trip to Nice. We were in the city for four days and unfortunately couldn’t visit on the first day, and then found it closed for the next two. When it finally reopened, it was already our last evening in Nice, and we were really hoping to try their amazing Niçoise food. We couldn’t secure a reservation as it was fully booked days in advance, so we decided to go in person. Despite how busy they were, the staff kindly found us a table, which we truly appreciated. The food absolutely lived up to our expectations—authentic, flavorful, and some of the best we had during our stay. The atmosphere was homely and cozy, making it feel like a true local experience. A must-try if you’re in Nice.

29/07/2026: A hidden gem on the French Riviera! A warm and attentive welcome, quality products, and generous, flavorful homemade dishes. Everything was delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend this place; we will definitely be back!

21/08/2026: I read all of the previous reviews and was exciting on going but was I was surprised at the “ pushy” server . I noticed a table next to us walk out as they felt the vibe and decided to leave after they were told that they did not order “ enough “ . I have to say I ( we) managed to get past the aggressive/ pushy behavior to still enjoy our evening . It is a-shame as the restaurant is perfectly located and has a nice authentic feel plus the food was outstanding. We shared the the shrimp / lobster appetizer which was tasty and beautifully presented . I had the octopus which was to die for and my wife had the lamb which was outstanding . We had the wine that our waiter “ pushed “ which was on the higher end but very good . Again, I want to emphasize if you are expecting a welcoming warm experience then Franchin should not be your choice . If you can look past that and just focus on the food , you will be fine .

19/08/2026: Booked a table for 8pm on my last night in Nice. Sat down, ordered a beer and a Coke (the Coke was to have with my meal), and only then was I told the two dishes I’d come for were sold out (2/3 of the meat options, at the beginning of evening service…). Nothing mentioned when I booked, nothing when I was seated. Since the Coke hadn’t been touched and I’d only ordered it to go with food, I asked if they’d take it off the bill, to be told ‘If you order it, you pay for it.’ Kitchens run out of things - that is fine. But not telling anyone until they’ve sat down and ordered, then arguing over a soft drink isn’t great. This is about principle, not money. Paid up and (very luckily) managed to get a reservation elsewhere.

30/06/2026: The pizzas are decent, authentic for sure, but not the best in Nice. A man named "Domi" isn't the most welcoming pizza maker I've ever met... probably because he has a loyal clientele he can rely on, but that's no excuse for not being welcoming enough to new customers or those who simply haven't booked a table in advance.

12/05/2026: LOOK NO FURTHER, you've found the best pizzeria in the neighborhood, maybe even in Nice! After years of trying pizzerias in the area, I can finally say I've found the right one! Thin crust, quality ingredients, and a super friendly welcome to boot. The desserts are also delicious: tiramisu and lemon meringue pie 👌🏻 I sometimes try the restaurant because the atmosphere is so cute, and they even have a TV for watching the games 😉

25/07/2026: The menu seems to have changed, not as what is on google (went for duck confit but it isn't available) But had an enjoyable lunch ALSO, the shop is still open after 2. I guess google is wrong about all the info

24/07/2026: It had been 23 years since I'd last set foot in Du Gésu, and I found it just as authentic as I remembered. Everyone I'd recommended it to had been delighted, and today I experienced a blend of indulgence and nostalgia. Another excellent experience, a warm and genuine welcome, authentic regional cuisine, real (!) gnocchi, broad smiles... everything we love!

16/07/2026: We had a very good meal; the dishes were truly delicious and high quality. However, I found the portions a little small considering the price. The plates could have been a bit more generous. As for the service, no complaints whatsoever. We went during the World Cup semi-final, so the restaurant was full and the staff was understandably overwhelmed. Despite this, the staff remained very professional, friendly, and always tried to find solutions to satisfy everyone. The tables were quite close together to accommodate as many customers as possible, but this didn't prevent us from having a pleasant time and chatting comfortably. In short, a very good experience thanks to the quality of the food and the service. With slightly more generous portions, given the prices, it would be perfect!

16/07/2026: This place is as bad as the reviews say. The food was mediocre and the service is slow. The server acted kindly but everything was overpriced and underrated. It’s a good location though. Tourist trap.

25/05/2026: A very warm welcome. Pleasant room. A true family-run hotel, just the way we like them. Excellent breakfast on the terrace. I highly recommend it.

24/05/2026: Everything is spectacular 😍. Excellent location. The room was newly renovated and very cozy. I was able to sleep soundly all night. As for the service, Daniel helped me with everything I needed. I will definitely return. Thank you so much!
