26/09/2024: I came to Lou Pantail on the recommendation of a friend who promised me that everything was excellent, and... she was right! The starter, the main course, including the cocktail and the service, everything was absolutely perfect. Congratulations to the entire team for this exceptional experience. It's my turn to recommend this place, and I will happily come back as soon as I'm back in Nice!

24/09/2024: Restaurant serving delicious Nice cuisine with efficient service, unfortunately dishes a little expensive, nice decoration, second course system when you dine in the first course you feel pushed towards the exit! In a group the addition is complicated and yes reflection of the service young people of 20 can have more money than more people contrary to the reflection made! On the other hand, choice of music and nice candles during dessert on the occasion of a birthday! To be recommended by a smaller committee.

The emblematic cook as well as the waitresses are top notch. Simple and friendly place where you can enjoy Niçoise and homemade specialties. Thank you and see you soon.

02/10/2024: We stopped here on our last night in Nice. We got take out and were able to wait inside. They will only do take away if they aren't busy. This was our first time trying socca, but it was very delicious and affordable. Highly recommend this place. They only offer socca, so everything is gluten free.

23/09/2024: It was simply magical. We had the full experience, with wine pairing and the full menu for our anniversary. We will talk about it for years.

24/09/2024: The food menu had nice selections. The food was good but not outstanding. My big complaint was the service. Our server did not offer us water which is not automatic in France. We got two glasses of wine and I finally waived down the server to bring us water. At that time, she just took our wine glasses and never asked if we wanted more wine. Then our meal was finished and we sat at least 15 minutes when she came back to ask if we were finished. We said yes and she whisked away our plates and promptly went to have a conversation with one of her coworkers, completely ignoring us. I was so angry that I got up and went over to her to voice my displeasure and ask for the check. I was really looking forward to dessert and coffee but was never asked. I am so disappointed with this experience as we waited 2 1/2 hours to come back for a table as the restaurant came so highly recommended. Don’t even know what to say other than…unacceptable service for an upscale restaurant that has been around for years.

13/09/2024: The restaurant was recommended in one of the papers back here in the UK. We had reserved a table before coming out to Nice. There are many eating places to found especially just back from the beach. You can get good meals there but if you want something apart from pizzas and pasta then this restaurant is worth a visit. We well greeted and shown to our table. The menu was short with roughly 4 dishes for starters, main and dessert. My wife and I both chose a very nice starter which was Tuna, Anchovies and salad served in a bread roll. Certainly unusual but very nice. For our mains I had the Roast Beef and my wife had another starter which was the Onion and Anchovy Tart. Desserts were great. Cream Caramel for me and Tart Citron for my wife. We both very pleased and it did make a nice change. Certainly say you must visit. The Kronenbourg 1669 was pretty nice as well.

17/09/2024: What a fantastic little restaurant which offers great value for money. I went twice and ordered a 3 course meal both times alongside red wine, all 6 of the dishes were excellent as was the wine and the bread on the side for the dish sauces was very good. Good service and a real French place to visit if your focus is good food / large portions.
