Fournil De Lulu
Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
24/07/2026: Culinary art in simple dishes that become extraordinary while respecting their authentic preparation.
A nod to a simple "grilled" sandwich, now called a Croque Monsieur...

Now 66 years old, still a very satisfied customer.
Always perfectly prepared.
A delight.
Congratulations.
24/07/2026: An exceptional snack bar, both for the warm welcome from Fanny and her husband and for the quality and selection of sandwiches, burgers, and salads. A must-stop for a picnic 🧺

Au Grand Inquisiteur
Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
03/08/2026: Very satisfied with this restaurant.
The homemade food was excellent, and the menu prices were very reasonable. 👍
The atmosphere is medieval, with a lovely stone vaulted ceiling and a small, intimate dining room, ideal for a romantic meal.
The service was very pleasant.
31/07/2026: We had a wonderful time with our friends at this restaurant. The atmosphere was intimate, which was perfect.
There were thoughtful touches throughout, both during the service and with the appetizers.
We were able to share the various dishes on offer, which were excellent from the appetizer to the dessert, including delicious cheeses. We had a very pleasant chat with the owner. His wife is in the kitchen, and together they make everything from scratch. This is a place you absolutely must recommend!
Thank you to this couple of restaurateurs for such a lovely time together!
The Chrises!

Restaurant la Roquebrunoise
Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
29/07/2026: A very pleasant place with wonderful staff. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and a pianist plays live, making the experience even more special. The presentation of the dishes is original and elegant. I particularly enjoyed the hummus and the Pavlova dessert. I highly recommend this establishment, which also offers a magnificent sea view.
26/07/2026: A wonderful discovery. The setting is lovely; we chose to dine in the garden with a superb view of Roquebrune Castle. The service was pleasant, friendly, and attentive. The concept of sharing plates (or not) is interesting. All the dishes were excellent (well-seasoned, flavorful, and beautifully presented).

Le Piccadilly
Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
14/07/2026: The pizzas are questionable; you even wonder what kind of cheese is on them (mozzarella? Emmental?) to the point where you wonder if they're frozen. Speaking of frozen, the fries tasted like water.
The hygiene is questionable: the bread was sitting on a dirty radiator. The staff are constantly shouting to each other… The menus are sticky.
The table is so small you can barely cut the pizza.
OUTRAGEOUS!
We ordered Coca-Cola, but they brought us Pepsi without warning!
13/07/2026: After arriving, we waited 55 minutes for water - the first thing we ordered. We spent 2 hours and 15 minutes in the restaurant (order, main course and drinks for 5 people). The waiters went to clean another table rather than take our order.
Commendable: instead of the ordered fries, they brought salad with the meat, because the fries could contain gluten (an allergen).

Restaurant Casarella

20/08/2026: Intimate place with the atmosphere of a true Italian trattoria.
The waitress was very discreet, the service was good, and the dishes were fresh.
19/08/2026: The mussels were delicious, but I personally didn't appreciate the starters very much. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the view from the village was breathtaking.

15/03/2026: Delighted with my visit to Alexandra's salon!
The welcome is always warm, the team is very professional and, above all, attentive.
The result is incredible! The color, cut, and styling are perfectly executed. Special mention for the scalp massage during the treatment!
You can feel a real attention to detail and
a great mastery of the craft. It's always a pleasure to come and have complete confidence in them!
I recommend this salon without hesitation! Thank you again to Maria, Cassandra, Juliana, and Lola for this fantastic work!
24/02/2026: A truly wonderful time filled with joy and good humor! A warm and welcoming place, topped off by a very professional team with excellent advice 😊 which I'm so glad I followed, because I wanted a haircut like Natalie Portman's, and it was a resounding success! Now Natalie Portman is dying to look like me! 😜 THANK YOU to the whole team 🫶 don't change a thing! Bravo 🎊

Restaurant L'Hippocampe
Roquebrune-Cap-Martin
26/07/2026: Yes, the view and setting are exceptional. The rest... WOW.
This restaurant used to be such an institution, what has become of it? The only redeeming feature is the waiter (the one with the shoulder-length hair) who is as kind as he is professional. Kudos and thank you to him.
The rest is a DISASTER. The owner, I presume (the elderly lady), is incredibly cold. She's so unpleasant it's quite shocking; even in the worst government office, you'd receive better service than from her. She doesn't say hello, looks us up and down when we arrive, doesn't speak, never asks if we're alright or if we enjoyed our meal, she (literally) throws the dishes on the table, she's incredibly rude to the poor waiter (who, unlike her, does his job perfectly), she berates him in front of the other customers, tells him he's useless, that her mother managed it so why couldn't he? She criticizes him, constantly berates him, tells him he's doing a terrible job, and the other waitresses (her daughters?) do the same. This waiter is truly courageous; in his place, I would have left a long time ago to find a job where I'm respected and my skills are recognized.
The old woman criticizes the other customers in front of everyone. She acts the same way with every customer who arrives; it's awful, so unsettling when we saw her coming to our table. You should probably replace those table runners that are falling apart and riddled with cigarette burns...
As for the food: well, it's not good, plain and simple.
- The octopus carpaccio 😂😂😂, well, actually, it was a carpaccio of unseasoned tomatoes, sure, 70% salad, sure, but the octopus carpaccio? I'm still looking for it. Tiny, bland slices in an equally bland jelly, yuck.
The medium-rare beef arrived blue, like, really blue. And that thing... don't even think about attacking it with baby teeth, you could easily lose a tooth, or rather, a piece of a hiking boot sole.
The Seahorse salad, the house specialty! Well, 80% salad, a tomato, an egg, and some hearts of palm, and that's it, I think. Of course, not dressed at all, obviously, we had to do it ourselves. No salt, no pepper, no oil, nothing. And that costs around twenty euros, I think. Luckily, the bottle of olive oil on the table is good.
The seafood platter, or something like that, was a tasteless ratatouille, two pieces of fish (okay, let's be honest, they were cooked well), a prawn in its shell, and that's it. Two pieces of fish, a prawn, a cookie cutter of ratatouille, and there you have it, 30 euros. Do you think we would have gotten a finger bowl? Since we have to peel the prawn ourselves, NO WAY! And again, no taste whatsoever, bland as hell.
And for this marvelous meal, they rip you off on price! Of course. Roquebrune, the beautiful view, people will still come anyway.
The dessert was good, though (all is not lost!).
I think it's time for management to either get a serious dose of self-doubt—a major reassessment is definitely needed—or simply sell the place so this institution doesn't die or become just another run-of-the-mill restaurant.
Stop trying to recapture what you used to be, because you're very, very far from it now.
In short, I no longer recommend this restaurant. It's such a shame, considering the history of this place...
22/07/2026: Seaside location above a private beach (managed by the restaurant) with exceptional views of Menton.
Decent meal with fresh, seasonal produce.
It's a shame the menu isn't available online beforehand.
Expect to pay around €50 per person including wine.
