Between duck breast or lamb shank and 3 people
made this choice... SURPRISE: the
dish arrived with 2 whole shanks and 1 half...?
The waitress's response: BUT YOU
CAN SHARE.... Unbelievable...
I'm used to eating lamb shanks, this was UNPRECEDENTED...
of course, no impact on the price...
Unpleasant to be taken for a ride by
Zozo ssss (you should avoid making this choice
in a group) and I'll avoid this place

The service is excellent, and the location is just as good. The dishes are generously portioned and absolutely delicious!

05/09/2026: Great inn, cozy terrace. We had pâté with salad, smoked pork loin with fried potatoes, and blueberry cake. Everything was delicious, and the price was very reasonable.
The service was very friendly. I would recommend everyone stop by.
24/08/2026: We came as a group of seven this Sunday without a reservation. We received a very warm welcome with big smiles. Despite the time (3:30 pm), we were able to order huge and delicious charcuterie boards and ice cream!
We'll be back very soon!

27/09/2026: We discovered this inn during our walk to the Hohwald waterfall. What a pleasant surprise! A warm welcome, a friendly, family atmosphere, excellent food, and very reasonable prices. The staff came by several times to check if everything was alright, always with a smile. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and were so glad we found this restaurant.

03/06/2026: First experience at this Hohwald restaurant for a family lunch.
We were warmly welcomed by smiling and attentive staff. The overall atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. The dishes were beautifully presented, tasty, and clearly prepared with care.
Unfortunately, one detail significantly marred this otherwise positive impression. The small salad accompanying the fried food was particularly meager, and any additional portion was charged at €2.50. For a bill of €180 for four people, charging this extra for a few leaves of salad feels stingy and difficult to understand.
It's a shame, because up until that point, everything was going very well. This small, inconsistent gesture ultimately overshadowed the rest of the experience. For this reason, despite the aforementioned positive aspects, I don't plan to return.
25/05/2026: The location is lovely. We went to the restaurant and were very disappointed by the small portions (vegetarian spritzes) and the small size of the Aperol spritz (18cl) for 7/8 euros. Walk 100 meters further up the road and you'll find another inn where 30cl of spritz costs 6.50 euros.

13/04/2026: Excellent food, everything is homemade. The cordon bleu is truly high quality and very reasonably priced.
The young couple who run this inn are very welcoming.
Friendly atmosphere and quick service.
