24/09/2024: First experience in this restaurant, we are delighted with our choice and I recommend it! Top notch cuisine, very professional and welcoming staff. The only "small" downside is that the decor could be updated. We had a great evening, we will come back.

24/08/2024: It's a beautiful restaurant. We went once for lunch and because it was so exceptional again for dinner. We had the menu both times (lunch for €23 and evening for €43) and were both so positively surprised by the kitchen. It is a composition of flavors that is absolutely harmonious. The service is perfect. Not intrusive and still permanently present. In our 4 weeks holiday in La Ciotat we never ate better. It's perfect!

18/08/2024: The Calanque de Figuerolle absolutely deserves at least half a day. The sea is splendid and the contrast between water and rocks is incredible. It felt like swimming in a pool due to the sense of protection given by the high walls around it. The beach is super crowded but we like to try and isolate ourselves on the rocks so we still had a good time. Bring water and shoes for the rocks.

21/08/2024: Une expérience inoubliable que nous propose cet établissement tant sur le point culinaire que sur le cadre. Un chef à votre écoute capable de modeler son menu en fonction de vos goûts. Une cuisine raffinée avec un mélange de saveur qui permettent de sublimer les plats. Le cadre extraordinaire en bord de crique permet de prendre le diner sous un coucher de soleil ravissant. Un endroit calme. Nous venions fêter notre anniversaire de mariage ; nous n'oublierons pas ce moment de bonheur. Je recommande fortement.

08/09/2024: Nothing fits the dishes in the great pictures, there are only a few daily specials. Today three thin slices of beef from the microwave and dried fries should cost 22 euros. The ambience and other guests are more suitable for a beer bistro. Overall, outrageous!

12/09/2024: Very warm and pleasant welcome. Enzo was both professional and friendly. The food is delicious, and what's more, the toilets are spotless and smell great. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation!

28/09/2024: Excellent cuisine, very friendly and attentive staff, all in quick service. We even take leftovers in case we don't finish the plate! The possibility of ordering pizzas (excellent and plentiful) is pure joy. I highly recommend. 👌👌👌

21/09/2024: I recently dined at L'Escalet restaurant and was very disappointed with the experience. I ordered octopus and polenta, but the octopus totally lacked flavor, and the polenta was a mess, completely liquid. It is surprising that such a poorly prepared dish is served. In addition, no atmosphere is created by the restaurant. They seem to take advantage of the setting of the port of La Ciotat, attracting tourists thanks to the night market, without worrying about the quality of their offer. These visitors will leave without even knowing the flavor of good polenta. The service was not up to par either. We were placed in a corner, not really taken care of, and the waiter spent his time making jokes about the tourists, rather than focusing on the customers present. It would have been more appreciable if he invested more, especially towards local customers who expect a minimum of quality on their plate. To top it off, when choosing desserts, we were assured that everything was homemade. Unfortunately, the dessert we chose was covered in industrial whipped cream, which was very disappointing. In summary, Escalet no longer meets expectations, both in terms of quality of dishes and service. I no longer recommend this address.

16/08/2024: Superb welcome and excellent Couscous, the quantities are at the top. Naima very welcoming and the delivery man very friendly. I highly recommend for your meals at home with friends.
