09/01/2026: It's very good, the staff are friendly, and the setting is very pleasant. The wait was fine. I'm just deducting one point because I don't like waste; it's a shame to serve vegetables when you ask for them without, but it's a minor detail. Thank you! 💪

03/01/2026: Today, January 3, 2026, at 1:05 PM, the restaurant was 75% full. THEY ARE NO LONGER SERVING!!!... THEY WOULD BE BETTER OFF WORKING AT THE POST OFFICE, NOT IN THE RESTAURANT INDUSTRY!!!!!...

13/01/2026: Some of the worst food I’ve had at a restaurant.The food came in under 10 minutes which is already a bad sign. The vegetables were soggy and partly burnt, the rice had no sauce, and the fish was very mediocre. Wouldn’t go again or recommend, unfortunately.

28/09/2024: Magnificent location and very friendly waitress we loved it, however too little choice (almost only fish) and therefore very expensive €150 for 2 without alcohol. Too bad, I hope this comment will make them evolve.

28/09/2024: Excellent cuisine, very friendly and attentive staff, all in quick service. We even take leftovers in case we don't finish the plate! The possibility of ordering pizzas (excellent and plentiful) is pure joy. I highly recommend. 👌👌👌

21/09/2024: I recently dined at L'Escalet restaurant and was very disappointed with the experience. I ordered octopus and polenta, but the octopus totally lacked flavor, and the polenta was a mess, completely liquid. It is surprising that such a poorly prepared dish is served. In addition, no atmosphere is created by the restaurant. They seem to take advantage of the setting of the port of La Ciotat, attracting tourists thanks to the night market, without worrying about the quality of their offer. These visitors will leave without even knowing the flavor of good polenta. The service was not up to par either. We were placed in a corner, not really taken care of, and the waiter spent his time making jokes about the tourists, rather than focusing on the customers present. It would have been more appreciable if he invested more, especially towards local customers who expect a minimum of quality on their plate. To top it off, when choosing desserts, we were assured that everything was homemade. Unfortunately, the dessert we chose was covered in industrial whipped cream, which was very disappointing. In summary, Escalet no longer meets expectations, both in terms of quality of dishes and service. I no longer recommend this address.

08/07/2025: Main course + dessert and cocktail. Everything was delicious and the view incredible. The waitresses and waiters are very friendly and helpful.

01/07/2025: We've been coming for 17 years, but the menu has changed this year. It's less good, less fresh, and not very generous. It's a shame, so we won't be coming back, even though the spot on the sea is great.

30/08/2024: At the construction site Enchanted! Pleasant welcome, breathtaking view of the old port and the bay, tasty, copious and refined cuisine. A must visit to La Ciotat :)

04/11/2024: We arrived at 12 p.m., we placed the order quite quickly. After an hour of waiting, we asked about our order. To which we were told that they had lost our voucher. 30 minutes later, they came to serve us our dishes with the wrong cooking and without the pizza we had ordered. I strongly advise against it!

12/10/2025: A wonderful surprise, this restaurant was taken over in September 2025 by a young chef, a young and dynamic team, and the added bonus: a menu featuring 3 starters, 3 or 4 main courses, and 3 desserts... on a blackboard. I highly recommend this NEW beach restaurant.

27/08/2025: A great time spent with friends, the deckchairs are a bit expensive. But I still recommend it.
