And indeed, the cuisine is simple but very good, made with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Plus, you're greeted with a smile.
On weekends, reservations are essential as it gets very busy.
Closed in the evenings.

18/07/2026: Terrible experience, they kicked us out of the restaurant because my girlfriend didn't want to eat due to a stomach ache. Unbelievable.
18/07/2026: A disastrous experience. The first waiter assured us everything was halal, then the manager told us it wasn't when we asked again. We were then kicked out of the restaurant when my friend asked for dessert instead of a main course, even though we were seated at a table for two with an extra chair. As an added insult, the manager called us liars. RUN AWAY

25/07/2026: We had a very nice lunch here on a Saturday afternoon. The service was good and attentive, served by nice sisters. The beer and April spritzes were good and well priced for the area. We had the sardines and salmon pasta which were well priced for the portion size and tasty. Our group of 5 had no complaints.
09/07/2026: I went there last weekend; it was an excellent restaurant with very friendly and welcoming waitresses.
I will definitely go back.

19/03/2026: I found a small piece of plastic in my sorbet.
I didn't dare say anything to the waiter, but I think it's pretty bad. The piece was quite sharp and about 1.5 cm long. It was gray, probably a piece of the mango sorbet container.
I left it in plain sight on my plate when I left. I could have seriously hurt myself, and if I had swallowed it, it wouldn't have been good for my health 😣
09/03/2026: I go there often. Terrasses du Port. Friendly welcome, good clientele, well-maintained, great view, no waiting, good and generous portions. The raspberry garden for dessert is highly recommended.

Explanation: Credit cards accepted only for lunch.
My interpretation: cash under the table all morning.
A quick email to the tax authorities to investigate? Maybe.

27/06/2026: It was very good, the welcome was very warm, it's nice to be greeted with a smile, and the price is very reasonable. I think it's the best bakery in the neighborhood at the moment! The competitors are more expensive!
04/06/2026: I received a very cold welcome at this establishment. Exhausted after my workday, I simply wanted to sit on the terrace, forgetting to greet the waitress. Her reaction was immediate and curt: "You say hello, and you take orders inside!"
A complete lack of empathy and courtesy. Unfortunately, Marseille is losing its soul with this kind of behavior and these newcomers. Avoid this place if you're looking for even a modicum of human warmth.

They've managed to turn a magical place into something horrible.
The parasols are all stained and different colors.
The tables are rusty.
The lamp is broken.
The plants are half dead.
The food is very expensive and tasteless.
Yet, as people from Marseille, we used to love this place, which has truly become atrocious.
Avoid it at all costs!

09/07/2026: A restaurant facing the old port served me a plate of Gambas à la provençal (rice and vegetables), which was neither here nor there. The prawns were frozen and boiled, the rice had no sanitation whatsoever, and the vegetables looked like they came straight from a can. Absolutely avoid this place; it's a disgrace, especially considering it's a restaurant.

16/07/2026: Unfortunately, a very bad customer experience. The place is very beautiful, but unfortunately some of the servers are extremely unpleasant. For example, they put down the bottle noisily, showing their annoyance. When taking my order, I had to ask for it, even beg for it, etc.
13/07/2026: Doesn't even deserve one star!!
Under new ownership since March 2026.
A low-end, expensive canteen with bland food and unfriendly, jaded servers.
Avoid at all costs!!
