18/08/2026: Based on the excellent Google reviews, we chose L'Ardoise in Lamballe and were not disappointed. The menu was superb, and we particularly enjoyed the sharing appetizers. We found the mix of regional, traditional Breton dishes and fresh daily specials of fish and meat to be very well done. They also offer children's and vegetarian options.
We highly recommend it.
The service was also excellent, and all our questions were answered in English.
Thank you to your wonderful team, who were always very attentive, friendly, and accommodating!

20/08/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed La Tête Noire, which offers quality home-style cooking, including a melt-in-your-mouth pork rib served with homemade fries and a delicious green tea panna cotta; it was a real treat at a very reasonable price. The owner is very friendly and welcoming.

28/07/2026: We bought pizzas with our young neighbor for the Notre Dame school's parent-teacher association (AEP) to help fund school trips. A great idea! We called this evening to pick up our two pizzas, and what a surprise—the deadline had passed by 10 days! There was no date written on the receipts. So we lost 30 euros, too bad for us, but we're happy for the school. But never again will we go to this pizzeria. They're not friendly and, as a result, they're making money off the AEP's account. We'll continue to eat our pizzas at La Stella in Erquy, even though we're from Lamballe. They have a very warm welcome in Erquy and excellent pizzas.

02/09/2026: I was very disappointed with the quality of the traditional baguette from the bread dispenser; it came out lukewarm and became stiff after a few minutes. Another time, I received day-old bread. I went to see the staff, who exchanged it without any problem.

26/01/2026: The galettes were WAY too buttery, it was almost disgusting. I had trouble eating my Savoyarde, which was already greasy from the cheese.
The crêpe was very good, thin and just right. The homemade caramel was delicious.
The service was adequate and the place was clean. 👌
20/01/2026: We came for lunch today for our first restaurant visit of 2026 and it was a real treat.
It's a real pleasure to know that our Brittany is so well represented by such perfect crêperies.
