03/10/2025: Avoid this restaurant. The food is very average, but the bill can quickly add up when you order a "Mauresque" (a type of savory tart) and they charge you an extra €1.50 for orgeat syrup... and €3 extra for a dessert that wasn't on the menu (a crème brûlée!!). It's highway robbery... congratulations!
24/09/2025: We were seated immediately without a reservation, and there was only one waitress, so the service was rather slow. There were numerous service hiccups around us, with forgotten or incorrect orders. To top it all off, after two dissatisfied customers left early, a huge argument broke out in the restaurant between the owner, the waitress, and the cooks—the atmosphere was awful! As for the food, the paella was very generous and well-garnished, but ultimately uninteresting.

28/06/2026: A quick coffee break early in the morning upon arriving in Calvi. A warm welcome, quick and friendly service 🤗.
It wasn't the first time... and it won't be the last.
15/05/2026: The welcome was a complete disaster; the person clearly chose the wrong profession!
It's a shame, the café is very pretty and the coffee is very good.

02/11/2025: A disgrace. The manager is awful, speaks rudely to customers, and thinks he's above everyone else. A €15 ice cream that wasn't even worth €3—unheard of! No sense of service, no politeness whatsoever. You almost feel like you're bothering them when you pay. Avoid at all costs.

To make it clearer, I'm a local.
After I'd paid everything, the owner asked me to vote for Marine Le Pen or Bardella, even though I was with my husband, who is North African. He'd just been speaking to Bardella, so it was obvious he was North African, and visually there was no mistaking it.
It's outrageous! When you're a business owner, you keep your political opinions to yourself. At the very least, stand by them and don't take money from foreigners.
Luckily, we had a wonderful stay and were incredibly well received by the people of Balagne, because otherwise, what a deplorable impression you would have left us of this beautiful region.

We had the Corsican menu, a rather generous and tasty starter/main course/dessert.

18/06/2024: Assiette à pasturella très très bonne avec produits locaux (charcuterie, omelette au broccio et menthe, chèvre)
Tiramisu au café très frais avec cette chaleur
17/06/2024: Repas simple mais bon service très agréable et sympathique par la direction prix resonnable et surtout service rapide j avait un avion à prendre. Je recommande cette établissement.

07/09/2024: Super adresse au cœur de la citadelle à Calvi . Bons produits cuisinés simplement mais si efficacement ! Accueil familial loin de l’affluence du bord de mer … en bas ! À ne pas rater ! Petite place ombragée
06/09/2024: Situé dans les hauteurs de la citadelle de Calvi, à côté d'un joli dessin de personnage fafi sur un mur nous avons découvert ce restaurant sympathique initialement pour y boire un coup.
Le temps d'apprécier où nous étions nous avons pu avoir un superbe accueil de ce couple formidable.
Autour de nous, nous avons pu voir un professionnalisme dans les explications des plats, une amabilité, un sourire dans toutes les phrases.
Du coup, ça nous a donné envie de rester dans ce lieu simple et convivial à la fois.
La carte est exactement comme il faut avec un choix comme si on était bien invités chez des amis.
Tout est fait maison et qu'avec des produits frais.
Ici ce n'est pas le chiffre d'affaires dû à l'exploitation optimale des touristes. C'est tout le contraire.
Bravo, vous avez tout compris et surtout ne changez rien dans votre vision de la vraie restauration.
À recommander chaudement.

05/07/2024: Le restaurant " le déjeuner dans l herbe" est sympathique. Toutefois le service et les plats ne sont pas à la hauteur de la réputation.
25/05/2024: Le cadre est charmant, reposant, enivrant, le repas bon, ce que l'on venait chercher pour une soirée à deux. De l'entrée au dessert nous avons été charmé, le vin bien choisit.
A la fin du repas, une petite balade autour des lieux histoire de ne pas repartir trop vite, nous avons assistés à une altercation entre ce qui semblait être le chef du restaurant et un jeune employé; il lui a vraiment mal parlé, des critiques et brimades qui n'avaient pas lieu d'être. Bien dommage pour ce métier qui peine à trouver des jeunes encore motivés. Quand on entend les restaurateurs se plaindre qu'ils ne sont pas motivés mais quand on le voit aussi mal "traités" on peut largement comprendre.
C'est un métier passion, qui doit se transmettre avec passion, après ne vous plaignez pas d'être en manque d'effectif !
