07/09/2024: Exceptional evening! We didn't know where to eat, Françoise the owner more or less called out to us and what luck! We had a charcuterie board for two, then a beef rib's and a fish soup. We had a blast! Corsican music in the background... It was great PS: so far this is the only restaurant where we ate real Corsican charcuterie... Thank you for your welcome

06/09/2024: At first glance, the restaurant makes a nice impression with a rustic vault inside, although this has not been confirmed. The service left a lot to be desired, you had to ask for both cutlery and water glasses. There are no tablecloths or sets. The quality of the cuisine was also very mediocre. I had a menu for €25, which included a thin slice of wild boar terrine with a hard and dried sprig of fennel and hard bread, then two thin slices of roast veal with a spoonful of potato casserole and fig sauce. Apparently everything was pre-cooked. At the end there were three approximately 5 mm thin and 5 cm large slices of a cake drowned in instant vanilla sauce, which was supposed to be chestnut cake, which, however, was not understandable. My wife only ordered chestnut soup, which was OK, but she no longer wanted another course. The soup, consisting of a rather small plate with some bread, cost €15. The crowning glory was a liqueur, which was charged at an outrageous €10. Not recommended.

25/09/2024: On vacation in Calvi, we wanted to do some shopping the day before our departure. The next day, back on the continent, we realized that the weight paid for cut cold meats did not correspond to reality (50 g on our scale and 150 g on theirs). Additionally, we purchased a cheese with a best before date of August 8 (we made our purchases on September 21). The sellers are not friendly. We do not recommend this store.

16/07/2024: Small coffee taken each morning in the cool of the streets of Calvi. Nice meeting with the owner who is a very friendly grandfather. I didn't have enough time during my short stay to try the cuisine! Pleasant moments.

05/09/2024: Very rude staff, the boy, perhaps nervous about the rainy morning, chased us away rudely because the place inside was full. We would have also taken take away but we obviously refused given the welcome. Rude!!

01/09/2024: Having had the pleasure of coming several times for breakfast or to have a drink alone or with friends from Norway or elsewhere, I really appreciated the service of the 2 charming ladies who work there. The boss I dealt with this Sunday afternoon changed the situation. Came to have a drink before returning to work, I was very poorly received which left me hesitant to leave before being served. I told myself that maybe it was a bad impression and I stayed. I should have left. Having no place in the shade, I stood in the sun until a table became available and I even had the pleasure of warning the customers who were leaving that they had forgotten a object on the table. Already the reception was very cold, speaking to me dryly about my scooter, which I had discreetly put aside with a dry tone of “Whose scooter is this? Should I get her out of there??!!!!! Get behind me in the aisle!!” Monsieur allowed himself to come towards me, telling me Monsieur is playing musical chairs. I thought for a moment that it was a voice that I had heard, but it was indeed the boss without counting the rest of the attitudes he had towards me. I let him know that it was not at all commercial, and that it was not the first time that I had come but that whatever the frequency of visits, a customer remains a customer in addition when he is courteous and respectful. That I found his way of receiving people regrettable. He realized this and said to me, “I’ll offer you coffee, to which I replied that I wasn’t giving alms and that I wasn’t there to collect, that my coffee would be paid but it would be the last drink I would have in his establishment. » With these words, I told him that with all due respect, this was not at all a way to receive and I left. Very unfortunate to have such an attitude from people who will later complain not to have people especially since he should take seed from the 2 adorable ladies he employs.
