After years of coming to Chatel we had never been to this restaurant, what a mistake we have made all this time, one of the best, see the best restaurant we have eaten in in Chatel.
We had a fondue for 3 with charcuterie, the quantity of fondue was perfect, the charcuterie platter well presented, the service was great, the waitresses were very kind and smiling.
In addition, the atmosphere and setting of the restaurant is great. Special mention to the dog who is so nice (and who doesn't bark contrary to what some people may say, and even if that were the case it wouldn't be the end of the world).
When there is nothing to complain about it is 5/5. 😍

Dishes made with real quality products and with Love!!
Beautiful person, who gives everything she has so that we have a memorable time.... then 2nd visit the next day to taste HER unique Savoyard fondue.....
Honestly, a visit to this restaurant is worth the detour.
We will come back from our next stay in Châtel 😍😍

On the other hand, you have to score a goal for your order to be taken! Order taken by a person who did not understand that one of the fundamentals of business is to be (a little) pleasant with customers.
The icing on the potato is that the house does not accept credit cards! Connection problem, it seems! Transfers, on the other hand, work! (I don't know where it's going, but it's okay!).
Last thing, check your bill carefully, you could be relieved of a few extra Euros.
We will not return to the Margoulinos house!

26/02/2024: Superb place, good atmosphere, very good burger: I recommend.
08/02/2024: Unknown in the area we ended up here. Place was busy and looks nice so mostly a good sign. Food was below par. 16 Euro for some chips and some undefined meat is really too much. After a few days of skiing we know now there are much better places.

24/03/2024: The Morlcan terrace. It is a high-altitude restaurant located at the arrival of the Chatel station cable cars. Despite the concrete, the decoration remains quite pleasant. Wood for the chalet. It is a cafeteria with self-service. Several dishes to choose from. It's okay, it's a service for skiers. Sausage with fries remains a decent and relatively inexpensive dish.

29/03/2024: 16 euros for 2 coffees with supposedly a 2 euro discount. Price made at the customer's expense. Rude uneducated boss. Throws you the change without a glance. She brags about having to make money to spend it in Saint Tropez. Basically, customers are pigeons.
20/03/2024: We went for lunch this afternoon, most of the dishes on the menu were scratched which greatly limited the choice. We had a crust with forest mushrooms, price displayed at €24.50, excellent. Except that when we went to the checkout we were charged €27! I pointed out the error, Babeth replied that it was with morels (or chanterelles, I don't know) and therefore more expensive. The problem is that we were not warned before and that this €27 dish is not even on the menu! I call this theft, I should have refused to pay this price.
So yes the food is excellent, the interior of the chalet is magnificent but you get ripped off at Babeth so be careful and don't be like me, refuse to pay if it's not the price displayed!
I would add that the cleanliness of the tables outside left something to be desired: tablecloths, placemats and glasses were dirty.
