Maison Faurie
Bessines-Sur-Gartempe
22/09/2026: We received a very warm welcome with smiles and good cheer.
The pastries and picnics are of very high quality.
Perhaps the prices are a little higher than usual, but this is justified by the quality of the products.
21/09/2026: Great bakery. Very good bread and pastries, super fast service. A very convenient little area to eat in!

Hotel de France
Bessines-Sur-Gartempe
29/04/2026: Very nice food in the village étape of Bessines
10/04/2026: Exceptional! On a business trip, I didn't expect to find a hotel of this quality in the middle of nowhere. The room was renovated, spacious, with a terrace and a small stream whose sound was soothing. The restaurant had old-world charm, very affordable prices, and excellent food.
Thank you.

Le Bellevue
Bessines-Sur-Gartempe
23/11/2025: I didn't stay overnight, but I had dinner.
Excellent
19/11/2025: For those who appreciate the owner's casual and inappropriate familiarity, you're in for a treat... The customer isn't necessarily a friend... or a girlfriend, who's addressed condescendingly as "my dear lady." They act like they're in charge, while the "recession-proof" menu is barely university cafeteria fare. The selection is extremely limited. Okay for a quick fix if there's nothing else nearby, but certainly not for a proper meal. What a stark contrast to the previous owners! We miss you, Ms. V.

Le Rive Gauche
Bessines-Sur-Gartempe
15/08/2025: The food was excellent, no complaints there; however, the waitress was very arrogant.
