12/10/2026: Few restaurants are open on Monday evenings in Limoges, at least in October, but this one is a sure bet. Excellent set menu (starter, main course, dessert) for under thirty euros (crayfish ravioli, Limousin sirloin steak with Fourme d'Ambert sauce, and a Limousin coupe glass of champagne for me), courteous and efficient service, modern brasserie atmosphere. Highly recommended.

10/10/2026: A place where meat is elevated to an art form: perfectly executed charcuterie appetizers and an exceptional selection of meats for the main courses. Having been there several times, I can say you can't go wrong with any dish.

05/10/2026: We also stumbled upon this charming medieval tavern, and despite our last-minute reservation, Régis, the owner, welcomed us warmly. The exceptional decor immediately transports you to another era. It's a place perfectly suited for a gathering with friends or family. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back. You can enjoy a set menu of starter, main course, and dessert for just over €30 per person. The menu is small, but that's a sign of quality. The drinks are unique, and they even have period costumes to enhance your meal. Thank you for continuing to support our small villages!

12/09/2026: This is truly a great restaurant, and I'm really saddened to learn that it's closing. And yes, it's not for lack of quality in the food, the preparation (it's very good), or the service. It's our consumption habits that are to blame. We prefer chain restaurants in shopping centers because parking is easier, access is easier, etc. We completely disparage these downtown restaurants, which are real gems, and they're closing one after another. Yet, with just a little effort, we can support an economy of genuinely passionate and dedicated restaurateurs. Best of luck, Alex, for the future.

26/09/2026: Busy lively place and as close as a pub as you can find in France! Decent selection of beers and drinks. Food was rather good and on a "bistro" level. Quickly crowded and space can get scarce, booking for food is recommended!

12/09/2026: We stayed at the Lauryvan bed and breakfast and dined every evening at the bistro and Saturday lunchtime at the gourmet restaurant located 50 meters away. The welcome and service were truly perfect; the manager and team were always smiling and attentive to their guests. The food was delicious, as were the wines, with beautiful presentation on both sides. The outdoor setting is fantastic, calm and relaxing for those lucky enough to be there during peak season. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back soon. Thank you, Laurent and your team.
