We had the €21.90 set menu, we ate well and received a warm welcome.
The only downside was the owner, who spoke loudly and constantly complained about the staff.

I highly recommend the seafood platters, which are particularly well presented and always fresh.

29/11/2025: We ate four times at this restaurant, which offers one of the most beautiful views and perhaps the best food in Cape Town.
The service is excellent; kudos to the entire front-of-house and kitchen staff, despite the crowds.
Special mention goes to the sea bass, the ribeye steak, and the Caesar salad—absolutely delicious.
23/11/2025: My favorite place to go when I want to escape the vineyards. Off we go to L'horizon in Agde! A view to die for no matter what the weather is. Great professional staff. Their breakfast is great, although I would love a savoury version: bread, butter, ham, cheese and a boiled or fried egg... But this a side, it's just a perfect place to enjoy a morning at the seaside.

The owners and servers are lovely; it's a pleasure to spend time with them.
In short, a great little spot for a drink and a bite to eat.
30/09/2025: A very nicely cooked lunch and friendly service. We had a fresh tasty omelette and beautifully tender chicken in mushroom sauce. Lovely spot over the river, sunny warm weather in late September.

What can I say? Unfortunately, the service was very poor. The service was inattentive, but the complete set for 14.90 was a disaster. The cheapest and poorly prepared food. The coffee and croissant were good.
Unfortunately, I don't recommend it 😵💫

21/02/2026: A huge thank you to the hotel owner for helping us out at the last minute by renting us a room for the three of us (my husband, my daughter, and me) and our dog. The rooms are a bit dated but clean, and the location next to the train station is convenient.
10/12/2025: The waiter (owner?) was very friendly with the customers when he was alone. It's a shame that once the waitress and (I imagine) another employee arrived, they clearly forgot they weren't alone: a discussion full of insults and, most importantly, smoking inside!

28/10/2025: Scam: the dishes listed on the menu are the same as those on the à la carte menu. We ordered two set menus, but when it came time to pay, everything was priced à la carte, resulting in a €62 surcharge even though the dishes were identical! The food was very average and the waitress was rude.
03/09/2025: If the concept of this brasserie is to be received by a barely friendly waitress after having you wait at the table before taking your order suits you, you are at the right address!! For our part, my colleagues and I had to leave without having our dessert because the service was so long and unpleasant, I do not recommend this place at all.
