The food was of poor quality.
The service lacked professionalism.
In short, we were very disappointed.
27/12/2025: "An absolutely wonderful family moment, with a superb meal and service. The atmosphere was perfect, and we loved the setting.
The only slight drawback was the size of the room, which made conversations a little too audible. Despite that, it was a very, very good time!"

10/09/2025: The hotel is well-located for visiting Charlieu. The food is impeccable, meticulous, and original. The service is friendly, helpful, and efficient.
Perhaps the only downside is that the rooms are very clean but average in size. Oh, and I forgot, the breakfast is carefully prepared with local products, which isn't common in hotels.

21/12/2025: We were in the workshop area, a chic and understated setting. The cuisine was refined, flawless, everything was perfect, even the juices. The dessert was a lovely harmony of flavors without being overly sweet.
A highly recommended restaurant.

Restaurant Le Sornin

15/01/2026: The welcome was cold, the restaurant didn't look like the photos, we waited 10 minutes, found hair in our food, and the young cook was serving in uniform in the dining room. The waitresses were drinking during service and were unprofessional. I don't recommend this restaurant.
24/12/2025: And what a fantastic place it is! No frills, but incredibly efficient. The food is delicious, very generous, and inexpensive—a set menu at €16.50 including coffee and wine. The andouillette sausage with mustard sauce was as long as a June day, while the Lyonnaise salad was perfectly prepared. The desserts are quite good, as is the wine.
In short, go there immediately! I haven't seen a place like this in years!
