09/08/2026: I would have loved to try the galettes that were so highly praised in the reviews here, but we didn't even get the chance!
I've rarely seen anything like it and have rarely left a restaurant like that.
More than 20 minutes after we arrived, and after being seated, we still didn't have menus. I asked the waiter once, and he said yes, but then came back to take our neighbors' order, without menus for us.
Then he greeted and seated a couple on the terrace, giving them two menus. We waited some more, and then I asked another person for menus. They came back empty-handed.
So we got up and left. The only reason given was: "We're waiting for menus."
Zero communication. They clearly don't care about taking care of their customers.
P.S.: We also heard arguments coming from the kitchen, which further contributed to the tense atmosphere in the dining room.

06/08/2026: The toilets smelled awful... Unfortunately, it didn't make you want to eat there. The waiter, however, was very nice.

13/08/2026: The food was excellent, made with fresh ingredients. The servers were pleasant and smiling. The only downside was the long wait for dessert at the end of our meal, while our coffees arrived before we had even finished them. We realized we had to hurry because the servers were eager for us to leave so they could close up (even though the sign outside clearly stated they were open all day). A shame...
09/08/2026: Simple food, the meat was very good, the fries I think were frozen. Restaurant overlooking a pretty village square. Friendly welcome.

17/06/2026: A truly awful experience. I'm absolutely shocked. First, the service was incredibly cold, and they seemed to be bothering me if I asked a simple question.
Second, avoid the cocktails, especially the mojito (which, oddly enough, is number 2 on the menu). It had no flavor whatsoever; it was just sparkling water and ice cubes with barely any aftertaste of lime/mint/alcohol, and that was just enough to say it had any taste at all. When I politely asked if it would be possible to have a small slice of lime extra because "I really like lime" (instead of being critical), the waiter/bartender said, "We followed the recipe, it's the right amount, there's nothing we can do." Excuse me? A completely unpleasant attitude. I could have even paid the extra, but they were completely unwilling to accommodate me. And on top of that, it cost €7.50 for a tasteless drink. Absolutely ridiculous. The terrace and location seemed really nice, but the service and quality are truly deplorable.
17/06/2026: Brasserie and tobacconist in Montsoreau.
Very friendly, summer and winter. Since the beginning of June, it's under new ownership. Every lunchtime from Monday to Saturday, you can have lunch on the terrace or inside; on Sundays, only charcuterie boards are available!

06/08/2024: Endroit toujours aussi exceptionnel mais au fil des années la qualité diminue. Client fidèle de l'endroit depuis cinq ans nous constatons que la carte a du mal à se renouveler dans la qualité des poissons en particulier et l'ensemble au final est légèrement décevant.
Service sympathique mais parfois un peu long...
03/08/2024: We had two dinners here on our trip through the Loire valley. There are few options in the village and our hotel had booked us here both nights. A great setting in the garden overlooking the Loire and the chateau. An average review in comparison to other places we visited. Food was good without being exceptional and one or two items which differed from the description on the menu be that French or English. Service OK without being as friendly or professional as other places we visited.

09/09/2024: Wow! Had the tasting menu, with wine flight, for Sunday lunch. Superb flavours, quality, and balance, throughout. The cocktail served with desert was inspired! Very big thanks to the team!!!
24/08/2024: Très bon restaurant dans un très bel endroit . Mention spéciale pour les desserts et la carte des vins , magnifique . Belles références de vins nature .
