26/07/2026: Excellent restaurant in terms of taste, but the service was too fast. The glass of rosé ordered with the meal was served at the same time as the aperitif, without the bottle being presented. The rosé was warm... The courses were served very quickly, perhaps too quickly. The waitress was pleasant.

08/07/2026: Picked this place over another because it had air con on a stiffiling hot week. Found it quite strange at first having to wait till 6pm to check in cos they close at 3pm during the day. The room was a nice spacious and clean room just not to our taste in decour, it was painted dark grey all over, but was very comfy especially the bed. We didn't partake in the evening meal as the dining room shut very early around 7.30 to 8pm ish. The staff were fine did there job, although didn't really see them very much.

05/06/2026: A very warm welcome, lovely decor with numerous photos and texts by writers in the stairwell and dining room. Each room is named after a writer with photos on the walls (we had Simone de Beauvoir). Truly charming and welcoming.
19/05/2026: A very pleasant hotel (dedicated to literature) in the center of La Charité-sur-Loire. The managers are very friendly. There's a shelter for bicycles inside the courtyard, and a small, cozy, and quiet outdoor area (unfortunately, the weather didn't allow us to enjoy it). Our room (Molière) was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The breakfasts were very generous, and the manager was attentive to guests' needs. We were able to park without any problem in front of the hotel.
We spent several nights in this peaceful hotel after spending days exploring the surrounding area. A lovely find.

29/09/2024: Très bonne surprise ce restaurant: accueil impeccable, déco chaleureuse et surtout carte excellente (restreinte mais pour nous c est bon signe) . Ce soir on a pris le mont dore+pdt+ salade maraîchère , copieux et délicieux! Grand soin porté au choix des produits et à la présentation. Les lasagnes très bien également , les desserts(tatin et glace) à l’avenant. Je recommande vivement cette adresse, rapport qualité prix parfait.
22/09/2024: Tres, tres jolie, perfect lunch, lovely staff, food amazing. Highly recommend it was a perfect french lunch spot so glad we came.
