09/05/2024: The restaurant was wonderful. Food tasted incredibly good for everyone. The staff was incredibly attentive and nice. Their English is incredibly good and they were very nice about our attempts at French. Would definitely recommend this place. Its view is currently impacted slightly due to construction, but it is still a very nice place to sit. We were also pleasantly surprised by the bill. It was way cheaper than we would expect this close to the heart of Paris I was a bit surprised that the bread was served next to the onion soup rather than on top, but that did not make it taste less good

06/04/2024: My partner offers me lunch in this restaurant where I am an admirer of Mme Pic, the only three-star chef in France and whose chef Thomas, the sommelier of this restaurant, has perfectly demonstrated the professionalism. I will return there with great pleasure.

30/03/2024: Excellent cooking is an art form, and food here is a faithful expression of fine art. Les Berlingots is amazing, and the canette clocked to perfection. Some wine pairings didn't really work for me but they were all good wines. The only disappointment was my partner's none alcoholic-drinks-pairing with the meal. That didn't work at all and might require a rethink.

01/04/2024: A welcome little bar in this neighborhood where everything is expensive and ostentatious.....a family welcomes us with warmth and kindness.....2 brothers and a mother in the kitchen Dad sadly left us a few years ago. Wonderful place to eat like at home Wednesday FRIES 🍟

30/03/2024: An excellent meal. We were served by Thomas who is adorable! Everyone was very caring. There are vegetarian and seasonal options. The back room is less pleasant than the main room. The only downside is that it's quite expensive for a bistronomic restaurant...

24/03/2024: We were in Paris for 6 days (visiting from Florida, USA) and this cafe was near our hotel (My Maison Louvre). We came here for coffee and breakfast every morning and it was delightful! All of the staff members were kind & professional and would even help us with our French pronunciations. I personally ordered the Cafe American (Du lait a cote), fried eggs, and Tartine every morning and they were all delicious. I highly recommend visiting this cafe when you are in Paris. Maybe if you’re lucky, you’ll get to see Marceau the dog!

01/04/2024: I was invited to discover the Burgundy snack and so after a reservation online where we take my credit card details (important for the future) I am installed in a small lounge under a glass roof and they bring me a real dessert farandole (3 pieces of cake, a brioche and a lollipop). First observation we get what we paid for (€55) especially since the hot drink of our choice is included but...it is practically impossible to eat everything for a snack. I was expecting very good cakes (which is true) but small portions to taste because we came out with a dolly bag and felt like we were going to explode. The unpleasant surprise comes when leaving: I return to the hostess who asks me if I had any extras and who tells me that hot drinks are included and we set off for a walk again... until 2 hours later I am called back to tell me that I have not paid (the bank details are an imprint in case of no show but impossible to activate it???) and after informing me that it was impossible to send me a payment link and having tried to write down my credit card number on a piece of paper because we don't know how to do it (sic) I am invited to come back the next day to pay the bill. Fortunately the next day I insisted that they send me a payment link otherwise I would do the walk again in the other direction. In summary, an excellent pastry chef, a well-stocked snack and a customer service/experience to be reviewed. Go there to have a slice of cake you will get 15€ for the cake and 9€ for the tea and you will pay by credit card!!!

30/04/2024: In realtà saremmo dovuti andare in un altro locale ma c'era una fila esagerata. Abbiamo comunque trovato un posto grazioso, ed abbiamo mangiato due taglieri misti ottimi (formaggio di capra morbidissimo e cremoso) . Salumi di qualità e patè buono. Consigliabile

10/04/2024: We are an English speaking couple on holiday in Paris. Started speaking conversational French but was struggling which they clearly didn’t appreciate. Considering we tried and many don’t we thought they could have been a lot friendlier towards our hospitality. The serving staff were very rude and blunt following this interaction and we left quickly after the meal due to feeling very uncomfortable and judged. Would not recommend if French is not your first language.

03/04/2024: Do not go to this place if you actually want to book a table, because they will give it away and expect you to wait until it becomes available again. My friends and I made a reservation a month in advance, and upon our timely arrival we were informed only 4 out of 8 people could have dinner in that moment. When reminded that we had booked in advance for our table, they kept insisting it was only an extra 10-minute wait when that was simply not the case (more like 40 minutes at least). Additionally, the staff was extremely rude and dismissive, not apologetic at all. I cannot judge in terms of food quality as we decided to go somewhere else, but the menu didn’t look very appealing either. Do not recommend.

29/03/2024: We had a great dinner. The octopus dish is one of the best I’ve head in Paris. Very soft, fresh, with a Mediterranean touch. Very pleasant. The steak is great too, served sliced.

05/04/2024: Came here after reading the great reviews. We had just arrived to Paris from Amsterdam and only travelled through Brussels by train without stopping, so were keen to try the mussels. I ordered the mussels (moules) in white wine and my husband had a serve of the ones with blue cheese sauce and we shared a pot of chips (frites). Mussels were really good and the staff were very attentive. We sat out on the street to soak in the Parisian atmosphere, which probably wasn't wise as our food cooled down very quickly (our fault, not a criticism of the restaurant). Highly recommend if you are craving Mussels from Brussels.

05/04/2024: After traveling from London and having eaten only a light breakfast, my family was quite famished by 6:00 PM. We found Carpe Diem Cafe close to our hotel and a kind gentleman beckoned us inside. We were seated immediately. The charcuterie and cheese tray was excellent. We ordered steak and fries, pasta carbonara, and the duck special and all were excellent. The service was prompt and the server, the same gentleman who beckoned us in, was so very helpful. We do not drink alcohol, which has led to us receiving inferior treatment in some establishments, but not here. The food and service was so superb that we returned for dinner on another night.

23/03/2024: Bar very well located in the center of Paris offering a good choice of beers. The prices of certain beers become affordable during the HH. The homemade fries are a real plus.

05/04/2024: Very beautiful, typically Parisian establishment! The location is nice between Madeleine and Place de la Concorde. Everything is homemade, we had a blast! The staff and the boss are very friendly, accommodating and attentive. We can only recommend!

05/04/2024: If you are ever in Paris, or planning your trip to Paris, please try and get into Le Comptoir. The service, drinks, wine list, and food are all impeccable.

04/04/2024: I went because I found it to be the best onion soup in Paris, I can say that of the ones I tried it was one of the tastiest. The Crème brûlée was incredible too. It took them a while to bring the soup, yes, about 30 minutes
