06/04/2024: I agree with all the other opinions which speak of the deplorable reception of an “older gentleman”. I must have bumped into him. If it were possible to give zero stars I would. To clarify the context: it was tea time, I was dressed in a suit and heels accompanied by a very well-groomed gentleman too. It started to rain and we sat in places that were under a blind while waiting for someone to arrive to seat us and take our order. Half occupied, few people. We were immediately treated to “sit down to a table for two!” » because the table protected from the rain was a table for 4 (well, two small tables for 2 more or less stuck together) No polite words. I pointed this out to him while saying it very calmly and with a smile because sometimes we don't realize that we have forgotten a polite expression in the rush of the job (for your information I manage 3 restaurants and I put a point of honor that the teams always remain polite even in the middle of a gunshot). Instead of apologizing he told me I can go elsewhere. I admit, I didn't expect it having been polite, and still on cloud nine following a lunch at Ruc served by lovely staff even though it was crowded. I repeat, thinking of defusing the thing, that it’s just a little polite expression and then He rewarded us with “when customers are stupid they are stupid”. This is called an insult! . This person is a disgrace to the restaurateur profession. The good news is that this allowed us to discover pastries with absolutely perfect staff (at Muscade not to mention them)

24/03/2024: This is one of our favorite hotels in Europe. It’s not the most glamorous but that’s why you go. Understated, peaceful, and calm luxury in a busy lovely sometimes chaotic city. The underground spa is worth a trip to Paris in and of itself. You just can’t beat the experience for the price. Have stayed 5+ times and would recommend again and again!

03/04/2024: I come in to ask if I should order at the counter, I am told that they will come and take my order on the terrace and I am given 2 cards. Less than 10 tables on the terrace, only 2 are occupied. And yet 15 minutes later no one comes to take our order. The waitress will have had time to checkout and make a phone call. A second waitress joins her, she also has no idea of ​​looking outside to see if a table deserves her services. I return the cards to the waitress to let her know we are leaving. Open-mouthed, seeming embarrassed, she won't say a word, and for good reason she was making her second phone call. I live in Paris, there is no shortage of good pastry chefs. It doesn’t take a genius to understand that just “good” service makes a difference in the capital.

30/03/2024: Nothing is going well at S Gaudard: too bad The reception was not very pleasant, the saleswoman no longer wanted to give access to the 1st floor at 3:30 p.m., we had to insist, then the floor continued to fill up. Then 2Croque Monsieur: 3 unfortunate fingers of croque Monsieur and 5 salad leaves for €18 each: A slice of ham as thin as possible and therefore impossible to taste the taste, lots of béchamel (it doesn't cost much) and very little cheese? Does Mr. Gaudard taste his products? Then a brioche: rather dry, average. Prices are still high and no longer match the average (brioche) to mediocre (croque) quality of the products. It was a nice address where we went regularly, but which fell into a decline in quality and service. This is now for gullible tourists. Unless SG gets its act together?

24/03/2024: Great small and authentic cafe. Fondue (yes I know it’s not traditionally French) was delicious and my husband said the steak frites were the best he’s had in our week in Paris. Very good veg options as well. Lots of locals and Europeans were there as well.

18/02/2024: The truth is that better than expected, (and even more so after reading the comments, we ended up here due to the rain) Good food, lasagna and duck, we recommend it. The waiter doesn't speak English, but he makes himself understood. Quiet place without waiting. Affordable price (2 courses, soft drink, glass of wine and two coffees) and it is located right next to the Louvre exit. Local people. French food, assortment of crepes, fondues, etc. And extra point for letting me charge my phone, a real detail.

09/02/2024: I have been a loyal customer for several years, everything has always gone well, delicious food, fast and efficient service.... Until today (02/09/2024) around 12:20 p.m.… I have many allergies including nuts (traces of nuts do not pose a problem for me, it is mainly when they are pieces or powders), so I ask the waiter if the slice of cake to the banana contains it, he assures me that it doesn't so I was happy to buy it to eat it later. I'll let you guess what my surprise was when at the first bite into this cake (which was very good), I noticed that it contained large pieces of WALNUTS. I will now be much more vigilant towards its sellers who ultimately do not know the products they sell that well…. Very unfortunate for this type of brand... BE CAREFUL OF FRIENDS WITH ALLERGICS OR INTOLERANCE TO MANY FOODS

03/04/2024: Lies about supposedly occupied tables, errors on orders, shameful prices, unworthy cuisine, errors at the time of payment.... It's a high price to pay for being one of the few places on this side of the Comédie-Française to serve food at 11 p.m. One of those places that could make Paris detestable for those who are not warned.
