The Arte film made me want to go there.
It’s very noisy (insistent accordionist and singer) and it’s difficult to have a conversation at the table.
This is undoubtedly the principle - but is it really authentic? Or just a postcard like the one we find on our tables? 🤔

06/02/2024: A friend who lives in Paris recommended this small restaurant in Belleville to us which has a special formula with chefs who reside for short periods, so you can always have a different and very interesting experience. If you want to experience new, high quality cuisine in a young, contemporary and charming environment, book and you won't regret it. Nothing is formal, everything is very authentic and cool. If I lived in Paris I would go back often. Well done!

23/12/2023: The white beer is very nice and the pint costs 8€. More than reasonable.
On the other hand, the small dishes are overpriced.
There is also a piano but it is forbidden to play on the pretext that 4 keys do not work…
As a reminder, there are more than 80 keys on a piano.
It’s a shame after leaving a bill for more than €400.
Not very commercial I think.
I won't go back there for sure.

06/05/2024: Ahh, Le Baratin. The food is delicious but the service is just difficult, awkward and so rude it became amusing. We had a great meal but the wine service was beyond ridiculous. The menu/chalkboard doesn’t mean anything (nothing on it was in stock) and there was no actual wine list. Essentially, you explain what you want to the sommelier and they bring their recommendation. This sounds amazing in theory but they missed the mark over and over and eventually we settled for a bad bottle of wine out of exasperation. Save your money and go elsewhere, unless you’re not drinking. The food was good, I’ll give them that.

06/04/2024: The food was very good and the meal was pleasant at first. With around 5 tables and 20 customers, the overwhelmed waiter took 30 minutes to bring us coffees. When paying the bill, he did not have time to calculate the amount of our 3 shares because there were too many things to do, we had to do the calculation ourselves. We then checked in alone because the man serving was not available.
The service was pleasant at the start of the meal, a shame it was so little afterwards.
01/04/2024: A very beautiful culinary experience, a reduced menu, made with fresh products and carefully combined for dishes that change and above all are very surprising.
Very pleasant and professional waiter.
We recommend “THE HEDGEHOG” without hesitation.

29/03/2024: Great restaurant recommended by a friend, the food is good and generous (especially the profiteroles which are a meal in themselves...).
The setting is really nice, authentic, and not too noisy like in some bistros.
Finally, the welcome was very good, the waiters were friendly and attentive, we even had a visit from the boss who came to chat a little.
Conclusion, good atmosphere, very reasonable price, good evening.

Adjacent to Belleville Park, the place is sublime & the sun is very often there.
The menu is regularly renewed thanks to chef residencies, and the dishes are always delicious. & Natural wines at the top!
