10/08/2026: We were looking to organize a small cocktail reception after our civil wedding ceremony at the 13th arrondissement town hall, and Café du Village exceeded our expectations! The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, the food was delicious, a space was reserved for us at no extra cost (with the option to play our own music), and so on. All this for a very reasonable price. We're so happy to have found places like this in the neighborhood; go there without hesitation to organize your events!

10/07/2026: I'm giving the food a neutral rating because I didn't eat there. I'm leaving a review because my colleagues and I walked past yesterday at lunchtime and saw a man who works at the restaurant physically and verbally assaulting someone who appeared to be homeless. He grabbed the man by the collar, shook him, insulted him, and threw him to the ground in the middle of traffic. A woman seemed to be trying to reason with him, but to no avail. This man's behavior is absolutely shameful. To attack a vulnerable person like that, who only kept asking him to leave them alone... and to put them in real danger by throwing them to the ground in the road. Nothing can justify this. If this person had actually caused a problem, you should have called the police! This man then went behind the bar of the restaurant; that's how we know he works there. We will never go to that restaurant, and those who do should know what kind of people they are giving their money to. Absolutely shameful.

The sauces were excellent, and some of the dishes were original and delicious! The portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend this restaurant! PS: Rémi is just as good as he is in Ratatouille!

Yet, there is one refuge where the ordinary fades away, giving way to magic: Chez Georges. From the moment you cross the threshold, time seems to hold its breath. The welcome is an art, the service a choreography of kindness, and the legendary decor whispers the secrets of old Paris. You don't just sit down to dinner; you travel back in time. Then comes the first ritual. When the rillettes arrive at the table, accompanied by their inseparable jar of cornichons, the moment becomes sacred. It's a true transcendence, a return to the very essence of flavor. The rest of the menu is equally exquisite, a flawless composition. But my heart invariably surrenders to the rump steak with Maille sauce. A masterful cut of meat, coated in a sauce whose secret is so well-kept that it remains unparalleled, unavailable elsewhere, etched in the memory of my taste buds. To conclude this feast, the desserts arrive like divine temptations. Simply mentioning that voluptuous fromage blanc, paired with the richness of a chestnut cream, is enough to awaken my senses. 18/07/2026: We stumbled upon this place while strolling along the avenue lined with restaurants, and although there was only one other couple there when we arrived, we were glad we hadn't stopped at the first crowded restaurant. The place is charming, with a lovely view of the wine cellar as you descend the stairs, and the restrooms were clean. The servers were welcoming and pleasant, always attentive, and we had a wonderful meal. The foie gras with its seasonal jam was delicious, the duck and other meats were perfectly cooked and melt-in-your-mouth tender, the vegetables were flavorful, and I loved the fries. A special mention goes to when the waiter asked if I wanted anything to go with my fries, and I replied with mayonnaise, thinking he was going to serve me some pre-packaged, store-bought sauce: he returned a few minutes later with homemade mayonnaise that was excellent. It might seem like a small detail, but it was a pleasant surprise that made my experience at this restaurant even better. 🫠 I will definitely come back to eat and try the desserts when I return to Paris. ☺️
