03/07/2025: Disappointing Experience at Café Zephyr I went to Café Zephyr this lunchtime with a group of colleagues. While the place is pleasant and well-located, the service unfortunately left something to be desired. When ordering, I asked for a Bahamas salad without corn. 2-3 minutes later, the server returned to bring the water jugs and spilled one jug on the feet of two colleagues 😣. At that point, I also told the server to put the vinaigrette dressing on the plate separately, mistakenly thinking that the "cocktail sauce" mentioned on the menu was a classic vinaigrette. The server then explained to me that the salad was already prepared (barely 3 minutes after ordering...) and that it wasn't possible to remove the dressing. I insisted politely because I'm diabetic and pay close attention to such details. The server was annoyed and unsympathetic. When the salad arrived, it did indeed contain cocktail sauce. I pointed this out to him again, but the response was curt: "You asked me to remove the vinaigrette, not the cocktail sauce." No effort, no apologies, and a downright rude attitude. I find it regrettable that you can't get a simple adjustment (vinaigrette on the side) in a Parisian restaurant, and even more so when you explain it's for health reasons. The server refused to remove or replace the salad and continued serving without a word. So I left without lunch and with a very bitter taste in my mouth about the experience. It's a shame, because the place has potential, but I won't be returning, and neither will my colleagues.

03/07/2025: An experience – but unfortunately one to forget. I visited Le Café Zéphyr in Paris in early May, and it took me two full months to calm down enough to write this review. The spaghetti carbonara? So uninspired, I was tempted to step into the kitchen myself – and trust me, I can’t cook to save my life. Then came the wine. We politely asked to try two of the house wines before choosing a bottle – something perfectly normal at most restaurants. But here? It was met with eye-rolling and resistance. I eventually got a mere whisper of a sip. Despite that, I still ordered a full bottle (because, you know, being polite), which was then casually placed on the floor without a wine cooler. Très chic. And the best part? The bill included the food, the bottle, and two full glasses of wine I never had. After some back and forth, they removed one of the glasses from the bill. How generous. No tip, no return visit, no excuses. Paris is lovely – but next time I’ll eat elsewhere.

23/01/2026: Unacceptable behavior. I paid for my coffee with my phone (contactless). Once the payment was confirmed, the manager saw it was a restaurant card. He flew into a rage and forced me to pay an additional €1 in "taxes" on top of the displayed price. This is a completely illegal practice (bank fee surcharge) and pure intimidation. Avoid at all costs.
